List Of Neo-Nazi Bands
Far right bands first appeared in the late 1970s. Punk rock, and genres influenced by it, had used Nazi imagery for shock value, but those bands were usually not fascist. This changed when Oi!, a populist offshoot of punk rock, became popular with white power skinheads. The ambiguity of Nazi chic can make it difficult to identify a band's intentions, especially when the bands do not express a clear political message. Academics usually identify these bands as neo-Nazi by analyzing their worldview. Neo-Nazi bands may break with white power music in that they maintain hardline Nazi beliefs. No Remorse (band)
No Remorse are an English white power rock band formed in London in 1985. They were one of the most prominent neo-Nazi skinheads bands of the Rock Against Communism scene. The band was led by Paul Burnley between 1986 and 1996, and by William Browning and Daniel "Jacko" Jack from 1996 onwards, following a factional dispute within British white nationalist politics. History The first iteration of No Remorse formed in 1985, and comprised Mark Vince (guitar), Stewart Baile (drums), Paul (bass), and Jason (vocals); this line-up disbanded without having made any performances. The band reformed in November 1986, after Vince met Paul Burnley (real name Paul Bellany) at a Skrewdriver concert in Surrey in October 1986. Rock Against Communism
Rock Against Communism (RAC) was the name of white power rock concerts in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and has since become the catch-all term for music with racist lyrics as well as a specific genre of rock music derived from Oi!. The lyrics can focus on racism and antisemitism, though this depends on the band. History The Rock Against Communism movement originated in the United Kingdom in late 1978 with far right activists associated with the National Front (NF). It was intended to counter the Rock Against Racism organisation. The first RAC concert was in Leeds, Yorkshire, England in 1978, featuring the Nazi punk bands The Dentists and The Ventz. Stahlgewitter is a controversial German hard rock and Rock Against Communism group founded in 1995. Despite the genre's name, RAC song lyrics rarely focus on the specific topic of anti-communism. Rather, RAC lyrics typically feature nationalist themes. Skullhead was a nationalist Oi! band from the Newcastle upon Tyne, Newcastle area. It was part of the Rock Against Communism (RAC) movement. History Formed in Consett in March 1984,R. Forbes & E. Stampton, “The White Nationalist Skinhead Movement: UK & USA, 1979 - 1993”, Feral House, 2015 their debut album White Warrior was released in 1987 (released by United Records, a subsidiary of Rock-O-Rama Records). The line-up on the album was Kevin Turner (vocals), Tim Ward (guitar), ‘Spin’ Brown (bass) and Nick Shaw (drums). Skrewdriver were an English punk rock band formed by Ian Stuart Donaldson in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, in 1976. Originally a punk band, Skrewdriver changed into a white supremacist rock band after reuniting in the 1980s. Their original line-up split in January 1979 and Donaldson reformed the band with different musicians in 1982. Career Ian Stuart Donaldson, formerly of the cover band Tumbling Dice, formed Skrewdriver as a punk rock band in Poulton-le-Fylde in 1976. At first, Skrewdriver sported a punk appearance, but they later changed their image to a skinhead look. In 1978, Donaldson moved to Manchester, where he recruited guitarist Glenn Jones and drummer Martin Smith. RaHoWa (band)
George Burdi, also known as George Eric Hawthorne (born 1970), is a Canadian musician, publisher, traditionalist, mysticist, and a white power musician who became known for his role in white nationalist organizations. He led the Canadian branch of the World Church of the Creator, which formed an alliance with the now-defunct white nationalist organization Heritage Front. In addition, Burdi performed with the white power band RaHoWa. Burdi was convicted of assault causing bodily harm in 1995, and was sentenced to one year in prison. Upon his release from prison, Burdi claimed to have renounced racism. By 2017, he had resumed promoting extremist views and producing white nationalist music.
