Tabriz is a city authority lies with the mayor, who is elected by a municipal board. The municipal board (City Council) is periodically elected by the city residents. Abbas Ranjbar is a contemporary film composer, director and producer of several movies and shows for private companies and IRIB organization in Iran. Biography Abbas Ranjbar was born in 1960 in Tehran, Iran. Sa'at Tower also known as Tabriz Municipality Palace ( fa, کاخ شهرداری تبریز, also Romanized as Sā'at Tower) is building in Tabriz which is used as the city hall and main office of the municipal government of Tabriz, East Azarbaijan Province, Iran. Saat tower or Saat in brief, as it briefed by locals in Tabriz, is a building with a hall, a tower with clock, and a small garden in Southwestern side of the building. Ghassem Khan Vali (1878–1933; fa, سردار همايون والی قاسم), otherwise and better known by his military title of Sardar Homayoun, the son of Ali Khan Vali and grandson of was the first Imperial Iranian Army general to graduate from the prestigious Saint-Cyr Military School in France, which was founded by Napoléon in 1802. Life During the Overthrow of the Qajar dynasty, Sardar Homayoun was encouraged by the local politicians and moderates, backed by Edmund Ironside, 1st Baron Ironside and the British Government, to become the Shah of Persia (his ancestry as a member of the Qajar dynasty supported his claim to the throne).
