Jardin Botanique Des Cordeliers
The Jardin botanique des Cordeliers is a botanical garden located at the Place des Cordeliers, Digne-les-Bains, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. It is open weekdays in the warmer months; admission is free. The garden was created in 1986 within the cour d'honneur of Collège Maria Borelly, and named after its former 13th century convent site. It began as small conservatory of regional plants but in 1996 was extended to contain more than 350 plant species arranged in geometric groupings that include a collection of wild herbs, aromatic plants of the region and abroad, vegetables, and a sensory garden (created in 2005). The garden also contains a small labyrinth, sculpture, fruit trees and ornamental bushes, and flowers including dahlias and roses. Abrest (; oc, Abrèt) is a commune in the Allier department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of central France. The commune is one of the 37 communes in the urban area of Vichy and is also part of Vichy Auvergne countryside. Its inhabitants are called ''Abrestois'' or ''Abrestoises''. Geography Location Abrest is located about south of Vichy and north of Saint-Yorre. The commune straddles the Allier River with the river forming the western boundary of the commune in the southern portion. The Arboretum Paul Barge (6 hectares) is a municipal arboretum and natural area located in Ferrières-sur-Sichon, Allier, Auvergne, France. It is open daily without charge. The arboretum includes forested areas with three trails, a herbarium, and timber exhibits. Avermes () is a commune in the Allier department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of central France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Avermois'' or ''Avermoises''. The commune has been awarded two flowers by the ''National Council of Towns and Villages in Bloom'' in the ''Competition of cities and villages in Bloom''. Geography Avermes is located in the north-east of Allier department in ' natural region immediately north-west of Moulins. Access to the commune is by Route nationale N7 which comes from Villeneuve-sur-Allier in the north passing through the heart of the commune, with an exit just north of the town, and continues south-east, bypassing Moulins, to Bessay-sur-Allier in the south. The D707 goes from the exit on the N7 in the commune south through the town urban area continuing to Moulins. Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule (, literally ''Saint-Pourçain on Sioule''; Auvergnat: ''Sant Porçanh de Siula'') is a commune in the Allier department in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in central France. It is named after Saint Pourçain, a 6th century AD freed slave who was founder of a local monastery. Geography The commune is located north of Vichy and south of Moulins on the former Route nationale 9 (departmental road 2009).
