Football Club Goa is an Indian professional football club based in Goa, that competes in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The club was established on 26 August 2014. Nicknamed as '' Gaurs'', the club plays their home matches at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao. Brazilian coach Zico was the first manager of the club. Its marquee players for its first two seasons have been French winger Robert Pires and Brazilian defender Lúcio respectively. The team finished the league stage in the second position in their first season. In the end-of-season play-offs, they lost via a penalty shootout against Atlético de Kolkata in the semi-finals after a goalless draw. The next year, the team came first in the league stage, then lost the final 3–2 to Chennaiyin FC at home. The 2017–18 season was the club's fourth season since its establishment in 2014 and their fourth season in the Indian Super League. Igor Angulo
Igor Angulo Alboniga (born 26 January 1984) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward. Formed at Athletic Bilbao, he appeared in only five competitive matches during his spell at the club. He went on to make a name for himself in the Polish Ekstraklasa, surpassing the 80-goal mark for Górnik Zabrze. He also played professionally in France, Cyprus, Greece and India. 2021 AFC Champions League
The 2021 AFC Champions League was the 40th edition of Asia's premier club football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and the 19th under the current AFC Champions League title.
