2020–21 FC Goa Season
The 2020–21 season was the club's seventh season since its establishment in 2014, and their seventh season in the Indian Super League. In addition to the league, the club will also compete in the Indian Super Cup, and the AFC Champions League reaching till its group stages. FC Goa
Football Club Goa is an Indian professional football club based in Goa, that competes in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The club was established on 26 August 2014. Nicknamed as '' Gaurs'', the club plays their home matches at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao. Brazilian coach Zico was the first manager of the club. Its marquee players for its first two seasons have been French winger Robert Pires and Brazilian defender Lúcio respectively. The team finished the league stage in the second position in their first season. In the end-of-season play-offs, they lost via a penalty shootout against Atlético de Kolkata in the semi-finals after a goalless draw. The next year, the team came first in the league stage, then lost the final 3–2 to Chennaiyin FC at home. Seiminlen Doungel
Seiminlen Doungel (born 3 January 1994), also known as Len Doungel, is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Indian Super League club Jamshedpur. Career East Bengal Born in Saikul, Manipur, Doungel started his career in the youth team of JCT before joining East Bengal of the I-League in 2011. During his first season with the club Doungel played only a few times before making his international cup debut for East Bengal in the AFC Cup on 9 May 2012 against Kazma. Lenny Rodrigues (born 10 May 1987) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Goa in the Indian Super League. Career Early career Born in Cortalim, Goa, began to develop a passion for football when his grandfather took him to watch local matches. He began playing for Fransa-Pax before the club folded. Rodrigues then spent a year and a half with Salgaocar before turning down a professional contract with the club to join his boyhood club, Churchill Brothers. Eduardo 'Edu' Bedia Peláez (born 23 March 1989) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Indian Super League club Goa. Redeem Tlang (born 22 February 1995) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Indian Super League club NorthEast United. Saviour Gama (born 10 May 1997), is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Goa in the Indian Super League. Club career Born in Goa, Gama represented FC Goa B. He was a part of the Goa developmental squad in 2017–18 and played for them in the local Goan matches, including the AWES tournament. Saviour earned a name in football after his impressive performance for the Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim in the Taca Goa U-20. Seriton Benny Fernandes (born 26 October 1992), is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Goa in the Indian Super League and the India national team. Career Born in Goa, Fernandes started his career with the Dempo youth set-up. After leaving Dempo, Fernandes played with both Laxmi Prasad and Churchill Brothers in the Goa Professional League. Mohammad Nawaz (born 21 January 2000), is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Indian Super League club Mumbai City. Club career FC Goa Born in Manipur, Nawaz signed with Goa of the Indian Super League after being a part of the India under-17 squad. He played for the club's reserve side in the I-League 2nd Division for the rest of the season. For the 2018–19 season, Nawaz was promoted to the club's first-team.
