Berthe Qvistgaard
Berthe Qvistgaard (11 August 1910 – 23 October 1999) was a Danish stage and film actress, and winner of the prestigious Tagea Brandt Rejselegat award in 1965. She was a rector of the Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance for a period of her life. She died from Alzheimer's disease which she suffered from throughout the 1990s. Arne Weel (15 January 1891 – 2 October 1975) was a Danish actor and film director. He appeared in more than 50 films between 1910 and 1967. He also directed films between 1935 and 1950. Ib Schønberg
Ib Christian Albert von Cotta Schønberg (23 October 1902 – 24 September 1955) was a Danish film actor, and is considered one of the leading actors of Danish film in the 20th century. Early life The son of a chemist, Ib Schønberg was interested in acting from an early age. He made his debut in 1920 and worked for more than ten years as a stage actor. Career Schønberg made his screen debut in Benjamin Christensen's 1922 horror/documentary ''Häxan''. By the 1930s he was an established comic actor, often in main roles as leaders of buffoon duos, well-meaning policemen, or more substantial "uncle types". During World War II he suddenly appeared as a dramatic actor, and from then until his death he maintained his position as one of the greatest actors of Danish art films, playing serious roles alongside comic roles. Johannes Meyer (actor)
Johannes Meyer (28 May 1884 – 4 November 1972), was a Danish film actor. He made his stage debut at the Dagmarteatret in Copenhagen in 1905 and went on to appear in more than 100 movies, making his first film playing the role of Erneste des Tressailles in Viggo Larsen's 'Revolutionsbryllup' at the Nordist Film Co in 1909. He was mostly seen in character or supporting roles in many talkies from 1933 until his last film appearance playing the role of Bilvis in Gabriel Axel's 'Hagbard and Signe' in 1967. He was also active on radio and in T.V. dramas and was stage director of the Fonixteatret and Norrebros Theatre before he was hired by the Royal Theatre in 1941. Died in Denmark in 1972, age 88. Emanuel Gregers (28 December 1881 – 22 March 1957) was a Danish actor, screenwriter and film director. Gregers made 36 films during a career which extended over four decades from the Danish golden age of silent film until 1949. Critics often dismissed his work as dependable yet uninspired, however many of his light-hearted comedies achieved great popularity in Denmark. Gregers most notable films were romantic comedies starring his wives Bodil Ipsen and Marguerite Viby. Career Emanuel Gregers was born on 28 December 1881 in Horsens, Denmark. At the age of 16 years Gregers debuted at the Horsens summer theater and performed in local theaters for the next 10 years.
