UCI WorldTeam
A UCI WorldTeam (2015–present), previously UCI ProTeam (2005–2014), is the term used by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to name a cycling team of the highest category in professional road cycling, the UCI World Tour or UCI ProTour The UCI ProTour was a series of road bicycle races in Europe, Australia and Canada organised by the UCI (International Cycling Union). Gijs Van Hoecke
Gijs Van Hoecke (born 12 November 1991) is a Belgian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Career In 2011, when he was 19 years old, he was selected to participate at the Track Cycling World Championships, where he won the bronze medal in the Men's omnium. One year later, at the World Championships in Melbourne, he finished ninth in the same event and became Madison World Champion. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's team pursuit for the Belgian national team, and the men's omnium. Van Hoecke won the bronze medal at the Madison in the 2013 European Track Championships. During that year, he also won his first six-day race in Amsterdam. Greg Van Avermaet
Greg Van Avermaet (born 17 May 1985) is a Belgian professional cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Considered one of the most versatile riders of modern cycling, Van Avermaet is a specialist of the classic cycle races, but has also won stages and the general classification in stage races, particularly when run on a hilly terrain, such as the 2016 Tirreno–Adriatico, and the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire. His strong sprint finish enables him to win sprints of small lead groups, but he has also won races after solo breakaways. Michael Schär (born 29 September 1986) is a Switzerland, Swiss professional Road bicycle racing, road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Born in Geuensee, Schär has competed in thirteen Grand Tours during his career, and was the winner of the Swiss National Road Race Championships in 2013. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Nans Peters (born 12 March 1994) is a French cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Amateur career Before turning professional, he set a new record for most selections for the French national Under-23 team, being chosen 20 times: he established himself as the team's road captain, and supported David Gaudu in his victory at the Tour de l'Avenir in 2016. Professional career After turning professional with AG2R La Mondiale in 2017, he was originally slated to make his Grand Tour debut at the 2018 Giro d'Italia, but was unable to compete after breaking his collarbone during the Classic Loire Atlantique during March of that year. Ben O'Connor (cyclist)
Ben Alexander O'Connor (born 25 November 1995) is an Australian road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Cycling career In May 2018, he was named in the startlist for the 2018 Giro d'Italia. He was in 12th place on the general classification at the start of stage 19 but crashed during the stage breaking his collarbone. He then withdrew from the race. In 2019 he completed two Grand Tours, the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España. O'Connor started the 2020 Giro d'Italia. He achieved his first Grand Tour stage win on stage 17 after finishing second on stage 16 the day before. In October 2020, O'Connor signed a contract to join the for the 2021 season. O'Connor won stage nine of the 2021 Tour de France after getting in the breakaway and then riding solo for the last seventeen kilometres of the mountain stage. Oliver Naesen
Oliver Naesen (; born 16 September 1990) is a Belgian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Considered a specialist of the one-day classics, he won the 2017 Belgian National Road Race Championships, as well as the Bretagne Classic in 2016 and 2018. He is the brother of fellow racing cyclist Lawrence Naesen. Career 2014–2016 Naesen turned professional in August 2014 as a stagiaire with the team, before joining in 2015 and Swiss UCI WorldTeam in 2016. He made his Grand Tour debut at the 2016 Tour de France, in which he was awarded the combativity award on the fourth stage. He made a spectacular crash in the last corner of the stage 18 mountain time trial, but finished his maiden Tour in 83rd position overall.
