UCI WorldTeam
A UCI WorldTeam (2015–present), previously UCI ProTeam (2005–2014), is the term used by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to name a cycling team of the highest category in professional road cycling, the UCI World Tour or UCI ProTour The UCI ProTour was a series of road bicycle races in Europe, Australia and Canada organised by the UCI (International Cycling Union). Gijs Van Hoecke
Gijs Van Hoecke (born 12 November 1991) is a Belgian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Career In 2011, when he was 19 years old, he was selected to participate at the Track Cycling World Championships, where he won the bronze medal in the Men's omnium. One year later, at the World Championships in Melbourne, he finished ninth in the same event and became Madison World Champion. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's team pursuit for the Belgian national team, and the men's omnium. Van Hoecke won the bronze medal at the Madison in the 2013 European Track Championships. During that year, he also won his first six-day race in Amsterdam. Greg Van Avermaet (born 17 May 1985) is a Belgian professional cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Considered one of the most versatile riders of modern cycling, Van Avermaet is a specialist of the classic cycle races, but has also won stages and the general classification in stage races, particularly when run on a hilly terrain, such as the 2016 Tirreno–Adriatico, and the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire. His strong sprint finish enables him to win sprints of small lead groups, but he has also won races after solo breakaways. Ben Alexander O'Connor (born 25 November 1995) is an Australian road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Cycling career In May 2018, he was named in the startlist for the 2018 Giro d'Italia. He was in 12th place on the general classification at the start of stage 19 but crashed during the stage breaking his collarbone. He then withdrew from the race. In 2019 he completed two Grand Tours, the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España. O'Connor started the 2020 Giro d'Italia. Oliver Naesen (; born 16 September 1990) is a Belgian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Considered a specialist of the one-day classics, he won the 2017 Belgian National Road Race Championships, as well as the Bretagne Classic in 2016 and 2018. He is the brother of fellow racing cyclist Lawrence Naesen.
