Parliament Of Aruba
The Parliament of Aruba ( pap, Parlamento di Aruba, nl, Staten van Aruba) is the unicameral legislature or parliament of Aruba. The parliament has 21 members, elected for a four-year term by proportional representation. Each member holds their seats until the parliament is dissolved, which is every four years by a general election. The leader of the party which gains a majority of seats usually becomes the Prime Minister. Results of most recent election 2021 The most recent elections were held on 25 June 2021, and resulted in a coalition government between the People's Electoral Movement (MEP) and RAIZ. Parliament building In 1975, the parliament building was opened for the Island Council of Aruba. Frido Croes
Francisco Walfrido "Frido" Croes (3 December 1957 – 9 October 2020) was an Aruban politician and schoolteacher who held the office of Minister Plenipotentiary of Aruba from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, he served as a member of the Estates of Aruba from 1989 to 1994, and as its President from 2001 to 2004. He also served as Minister of Education from 2004 to 2005. Biography Croes was born on 3 December 1957 in Aruba, one of the Caribbean islands of the Lesser Antilles and a country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Having obtained his havo diploma (secondary school leavers’ certificate), Croes began studying to become a teacher at the Aruban Pedagogical Academy. After graduating, he worked as a teacher for a decade at the Colegio San Jose of Santa Cruz. During the last four years of this time, he also held the position of head teacher. Paul Croes
Pauldrick François Teodoric "Paul" Croes (born 7 November 1976) is a former Aruban politician who served as the Minister of Social Affairs, Youth and Labor in the Second Eman Cabinet from 2013 to 2017. As a member of the Aruban People's Party, he was a member of the Parliament of Aruba between 2009 and 2013. Career Croes was born in Aruba, Netherlands Antilles, on 7 November 1976. Following his primary education he attended the voorbereidend wetenschappelijk onderwijs. He then moved to the Netherlands and studied political science at the University of Amsterdam, where he obtained a degree in 2002. Guillfred Besaril
Guillfred Francis Besaril (born 9 January 1974) is an Aruban politician of the People's Electoral Movement. He has been Minister Plenipotentiary of Aruba since 20 November 2017. He previously served in the Estates of Aruba between 2013 and November 2017, the last month as president. Career Besaril was born in Savaneta. After attending high school he joined the Aruba Police Force in 1993. Besaril worked for the force until 2013. Between 2009 and 2013 Besaril was chairman of the Aruban Police Force union. In the 2013 general election Besaril was elected with 833 votes to the Estates of Aruba for the People's Electoral Movement.
