Line 11 (Suzhou Rail Transit)
Line 11 is a rapid transit line of the Suzhou Rail Transit system. It was formerly known as Line S1 during planning and construction. Construction started on November 27, 2018. It opened on 24 June 2023. The line uses 6-car Type B rolling stock operating up to 100 km/h. Description Running west-east, the line mainly serves the urban area of Kunshan, and connects it to Suzhou Industrial Park in the west and nearby Shanghai in the east via a transfer at Huaqiao station to Line 11 of Shanghai Metro. Suzhou Rail Transit
Suzhou Rail Transit, also known as Suzhou Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Suzhou, in Jiangsu Province, China. Line 1 began operation on April 28, 2012. Line 2 opened on December 28, 2013. A further three lines, and an extension of Line 2, were completed between 2016 and 2021, with 3 more lines currently under construction and planned to open by 2024. Upon completion, the system will be about long and have 109 stations. Line 2 Line 2 opened on December 28, 2013. It is a line running generally north–south, from Suzhou North Railway Station in north Xiangcheng District to Baodaiqiao South station close to Precious Belt Bridge located in Wuzhong District. Huaqiao () is a metro station on Line 11 of the Shanghai Metro. Located at the intersection of Guangming Road and Yanhu Avenue in Huaqiao, Kunshan, Jiangsu, it serves as the current western terminus on the branch line of Line 11. Kunshan
Kunshan is a county-level city in southeastern Jiangsu province with Shanghai bordering its eastern border and Suzhou on its western boundary. It is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Suzhou. Name There is a strong possibility that the name Kunshan is derived from a hill, but which one is controversial. According to an impacted version, the hill is present-day Little Kunshan (''Xiaokunshan'') in Shanghai's Songjiang District. The character (''Kun'') was the old Chinese name for the Kunlun Mountains. The China–Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park (), or Suzhou Industrial Park for short, abbreviated as SIP, is a county-level administrative area located in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China.
