Lili Reynaud-Dewar
Lili Reynaud-Dewar (born 1975 in La Rochelle) is a French installation and performance artist. She currently lives and works in Grenoble and Geneva. Her work has been exhibited in many international surveys, including the 5th Berlin Biennale (2008), the 3rd Paris Triennale (2012), the 12th Lyon Biennale (2013), the 5th Marrakech Biennial (2014), the 56th Venice Biennial (2015), the 31st Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts (2015) and the 11th Gwangju Biennale (2016). Her practice includes film, installation, performance, text and sculpture, and is mainly concerned with the "boundaries of biography". Life and work Reynaud-Dewar studied ballet with Colette Milner at the Conservatoire de La Rochelle, then Public Law at the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne. La Rochelle
La Rochelle (, , ; Poitevin-Saintongeais: ''La Rochéle''; oc, La Rochèla ) is a city on the west coast of France and a seaport on the Bay of Biscay, a part of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the capital of the Charente-Maritime department. With 75,735 inhabitants in 2017, La Rochelle is the most populated commune in the department and ranks fifth in the New Aquitaine region after Bordeaux, the regional capital, Limoges, Poitiers and Pau. Guillaume Dustan
Guillaume Dustan (November 28, 1965, Paris – October 3, 2005) was an openly gay French writer. Dustan's 1998 novel, ''In My Room'', brought the author instant notoriety for his masterful use of autofiction and depiction of gay glamour and romance in mid-1990s Paris. Early life and education Dustan was born William Baranès in France in 1965. He graduated from the École nationale d'administration and worked as an administrative judge before turning to writing. He used the pen name Guillaume Dustan from 1995 onwards. The New Museum of Contemporary Art, founded in 1977 by Marcia Tucker, is a museum in New York City at 235 Bowery, on Manhattan's Lower East Side. History The museum originally opened in a space in the Graduate Center of the then-named New School for Social Research at 65 Fifth Avenue. The New Museum remained there until 1983, when it rented and moved to the first two and a half floors of the Astor Building at 583 Broadway in the SoHo neighborhood. Le Consortium is a contemporary art center based in Dijon founded by Xavier Douroux & Franck Gautherot, among others, from the association Le Coin du Miroir (The Corner Mirror). The center was run by Douroux, in collaboration with Gautherot and Eric Troncy. Tramway is a contemporary visual and performing arts venue located in the Scottish city of Glasgow. CAPC musée d'art contemporain de Bordeaux, formerly the Centre d'arts plastiques contemporains (CAPC), is a museum of modern art established in 1973 in Bordeaux, France. Building The museum is housed in the ''Entrepôt Lainé'', a former warehouse for colonial goods (sugar, coffee, cocoa, cotton, spices and oils) which were then re-exported to northern Europe by Bordeaux merchants.
