Lifeworks International
GoBeyond Student Travel is an organization which offers community service based adventure programs during the Northern Hemisphere summertime to teenagers. Programs are run in the British Virgin Islands, Ecuador and the Galapagos, Thailand, China, Costa Rica, India, Peru and Australia. History GoBeyond grew from the experience of its sister institutions, ActionQuest and Sea, mester, with a decided aim on global community service. After the events of September 11, 2001, ActionQuest decided to develop a program aimed at service, which became GoBeyond Student Travel. GoBeyond ran its first programs in 2003 in the British Virgin Islands, Australia, and the Galapagos. In 2004, GoBeyond Thailand began, and in 2005, GoBeyond China and Costa Rica began. In 2010, GoBeyond expanded offerings to India and Peru. The Charles Darwin Foundation (Spanish: ''Fundación Charles Darwin'') was founded in 1959, under the auspices of UNESCO and the World Conservation Union. Darwin Initiative
The Darwin Initiative is a UK Government funding program that aims to assist countries with rich biodiversity but poor financial resources to meet their objectives under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD); the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES); and the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS). Establishment The Darwin Initiative was announced by the UK Government in 1992 at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. It was established as a non-departmental public body of DETR, moving to DEFRA on its formation in 2001. In 2010 DEFRA provided annual funding of £7 Million. China Care Foundation
China Care Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides medical, social and educational programs for orphans with disabilities in China and gives college and high school students the opportunity to give back by fundraising and volunteering. History China Care Foundation was founded by Matt Dalio in 2000 when he was 16 years old. Dalio, who grew up in Connecticut, spent a year in China when he was 11 years old and returned five years later to personally witness the conditions of orphans with special needs. Seamester
Seamester (also known by the trade name Sea , mester) is part of the Global Expeditions Group, an organization that offers academic, study abroad programs on board three sailing vessels, ''Ocean Star (Schooner), Ocean Star'', ''Argo (Yacht), Argo'' and Vela. Sea, mester began running programs in 1998 as an extension from its sister organization ActionQuest. ActionQuest is an organization which offers adventure programs for teenagers during the months of June, July and August. These programs include sail training, marine science, and SCUBA training courses in locations throughout the Caribbean, Australia, Ecuador and the Galapagos, Tahiti, and the Mediterranean.
