Lewis Wing
Lewis Wing (born 23 June 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays for Reading, as an attacking midfielder. Club career Early career Born in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, Wing attended Woodham Comprehensive School followed by Durham Sixth Form Centre where he studied Sports Science. He started playing football from the age of five for Newton Aycliffe Sports Club going on to play for Norton & Stockton Ancients as a junior. Wing later ended up in the youth system of Darlington until he was released at the age of 14 for "being too small". Wing quit playing football for two years following his release by Darlington, instead he focused on getting his golf handicap down to five until he was invited to play for local Sunday league side Newton Aycliffe Working Men's Club who were at the time managed by his cousin Jason Steele. Newton Aycliffe
Newton Aycliffe is a town in County Durham, England. Founded in 1947 under the New Towns Act of 1946, the town sits about five miles to the north of Darlington and ten miles to the south of Durham. It is the oldest new town in the north of England. Together with the bordering Aycliffe Village (to the south) and the north part of School Aycliffe (to the west), it forms the civil parish of Great Aycliffe. The Riverside Stadium is a football stadium in Middlesbrough, England, which has been the home of Middlesbrough since it opened in 1995. Its current capacity is 34,742, all seated, although there is provisional planning permission in place to expand that to 42,000 if required. History The stadium was built to replace Ayresome Park after the Taylor Report, which required all top division football stadiums to be all-seater. After the report was delivered in January 1990, Middlesbrough needed an all-seater stadium by August 1994, and were unable to expand Ayresome Park outwards owing to its location in a residential area, and expanding the stadium upwards would have limited the club to a capacity of around 20,000 seats – the club wanted a considerably larger capacity. Scunthorpe () is an industrial town and unparished area in the unitary authority of North Lincolnshire in Lincolnshire, England of which it is the main administrative centre. Scunthorpe had an estimated total population of 82,334 in 2016. Grant Leadbitter
Grant Leadbitter (born 7 January 1986) is an English former professional Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. He made more than 500 appearances in the Premier League and English Football League, Football League, which included 212 for Middlesbrough F.C., Middlesbrough, 180 for Sunderland A.F.C., Sunderland and 116 for Ipswich Town F.C., Ipswich Town. Leadbitter retired at the end of the 2021 season, having won the EFL Trophy in his final season with Sunderland. Leadbitter played for Sunderland from 2003 until 2009 after rising as a product from the team's Academy of Light, Youth Academy before signing for Ipswich Town. He spent seven seasons with Middlesbrough before finishing his career with Sunderland.
