Grant Leadbitter
Grant Leadbitter (born 7 January 1986) is an English former professional Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. He made more than 500 appearances in the Premier League and English Football League, Football League, which included 212 for Middlesbrough F.C., Middlesbrough, 180 for Sunderland A.F.C., Sunderland and 116 for Ipswich Town F.C., Ipswich Town. Leadbitter retired at the end of the 2021 season, having won the EFL Trophy in his final season with Sunderland. Leadbitter played for Sunderland from 2003 until 2009 after rising as a product from the team's Academy of Light, Youth Academy before signing for Ipswich Town. He spent seven seasons with Middlesbrough before finishing his career with Sunderland. In 2007 Leadbitter received a call-up for England national under-21 football team, England U21, and featured for them three times. Akenhaton Carlos Edwards CM (born 24 October 1978) is a Trinidadian former professional footballer who plays as a winger or right-back for Bury Town. He started his footballing career in Trinidad and Tobago before moving to Wrexham in 2000 for whom he made over 150 appearances. The Stadium of Light is an all-seater football stadium in Sunderland, England, and the eighth and current home to Sunderland A.F.C. Michael Joseph McCarthy (born 7 February 1959) is a professional football manager, pundit, and former player. He was last in charge of EFL Championship club Cardiff City.
