Let's Clean Slovenia 2012
''Let's Clean Slovenia 2012'' ( sl, Očistimo Slovenijo 2012) was a Slovenian environmental volunteer project organized by the environmental organization Ecologists Without Borders with the goal of joining 250,000 people on 24 March 2012 and cleaning municipal waste from illegal landfills in the country. Cleaning of scattered garbage in urban areas was also organized. The project, a continuation of the ''Let's Clean Slovenia in One Day!'' carried out two years before, was inspired by the Estonian campaign ''Let's Do It 2008'' and organized within the frame of the ''World Cleanup 2012''. The work started in March 2011 and culminated in the all-Slovenian cleanup on 24 March 2012. Around 121,000 people applied until a few days before the event, with official support from almost all Slovene municipalities. Rainer Nõlvak (born September 28, 1966) is an Estonian entrepreneur and nature protector who is the chairman of the board of the Estonian Nature Fund. Rainer Nõlvak has advocated for the Estonian energy industry to move away from oil shale and move towards renewable energy systems. He has published the "Green Energy" program. He was among the organizers of Let's Do It 2008, a civic action with 50,000 volunteers participating in cleaning up the countryside of Estonia in one day. Vlado Kreslin (born 29 November 1953) is a Slovenian singer-songwriter and folk rock musician. Life and work Kreslin was born in the village of Beltinci in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia, then part of Yugoslavia. He began his musical career in his student years, first coming to acclaim as the lead singer with the rock group ''Martin Krpan''. He later continued playing a mixture of Slovene folk and rock music with the ''Beltinška Banda'', a folk group from his native village, whose other members were all over 70 years old, and the group ''Mali Bogovi''. Danilo Türk (; born 19 February 1952) is a Slovenian diplomat, professor of international law, human rights expert, and political figure who served as President of Slovenia from 2007 to 2012.
