Les Angles-sur-Corrèze
Les Angles-sur-Corrèze (; oc, Los Angles) is a commune in the Corrèze department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of central France. Geography Les Angles-sur-Corrèze is located some 7 km north-west of Tulle and 30 km south-west of Égletons. It is traversed by the A89 autoroute from west to east through the heart of the commune but there is no exit in the commune. The nearest exits are Exit 20 to the west of the commune and Exit 21 to the east. Access to the commune is by road D58 which branches off the D23 south of the commune and continues north to the village and continues north then east to join the D1089 highway which forms the south-eastern border of the commune. There are large areas of forest in the commune with some areas of farmland near the village. Apart from the village there is the hamlet of Le Massoulier towards the east. Bar, Corrèze
Bar () is a commune in the Corrèze department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of central France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Barois'' or ''Baroises''. Geography Bar is located some 40 km north-east of Brive-la-Gaillarde and 8 km north of Tulle. Access to the commune is by the D53 road which branches from the D1120 west of the commune and passes through the narrow neck of the commune before continuing north as the D32 to Orliac-de-Bar. The D53 also continues south from the village through the heart of the commune to Gimel-les-Cascades. The D23 comes from Tulle in the south and passes through the commune and the village continuing north-east to join the D26 near Corrèze. The D173 comes from Le Lonzac in the north down the western arm of the commune and passes south to join the D53 in the commune. Geography Naves's territory is crossed by the rivers Corrèze, Solane, Vigne, Vimbelle, and Céronne. Brive-la-Gaillarde
Brive-la-Gaillarde (; Limousin dialect of oc, Briva la Galharda) is a commune of France. It is a sub-prefecture and the largest city of the Corrèze department. It has around 46,000 inhabitants, while the population of the agglomeration was 75,579 in 2019. Although it is by far the biggest commune in Corrèze, the capital is Tulle. In French popular culture, the town is associated with a song by Georges Brassens. History Even though the inhabitants settled around the 1st century, the city only started to grow much later. From around the 5th century onwards, the original city began to develop around a church dedicated to Saint-Martin-l'Espagnol. During the 12th century walls were built around the city and during the Hundred Years' War a second wall was built. These fortifications no longer exist and have been replaced by boulevards.
