Lee Melville
Lee F Melville (born 20 May 1970) is a Bahamian cricketer. Melville is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium pace and currently represents the Bahamas national cricket team. Prior to representing the Bahamas, Melville played for Caistor Cricket Club in England in the Lincolnshire Premier League from 2001 to 2002. Melville made his debut for the Bahamas in the 2006 ICC Americas Championship Division 2 against Panama. Melville made his Twenty20 debut for the Bahamas against Jamaica in the 1st round of the 2008 Stanford 20/20. Melville claimed the wicket of Shawn Findlay. Meville represented the Bahamas in the 2010 ICC World Cricket League Division Five and the 2010 ICC Americas Championship Division 2. Melville's final match for the Bahamas came against Suriname. Seam Bowling
Seam bowling is a bowling technique in cricket whereby the ball is deliberately bowled on to its seam, to cause a random deviation when the ball bounces. Practitioners are known as ''seam bowlers'' or seamers. Seam bowling is generally classed as a subtype of fast bowling, although the bowling speeds at which seam can be a factor include medium-pace bowling. Although there are specialist seamers that make deliberate use of off cutter and leg cutter at the expense of bowling slower than regular fast bowlers, most bowlers employ the seam to some effect and so the terms "seamer" and "fast bowler" are largely synonymous. The Suriname national cricket team is the team that represents Suriname in international cricket. Shawn Eli Findlay (born 3 March 1984) is a Jamaican former cricketer who played for Jamaica and the West Indies cricket team. Career Findlay never represented the West Indies in a youth international match. On 1 July 2008, Findlay was called up to the West Indies ODI squad for the last two matches of a five match series against Australia that the West Indies had already lost. Stanford 20/20
The Stanford 20/20 was a short-lived cricket tournament in the Caribbean island of Antigua. It was held first in July and August 2006 in the West Indies at the Stanford Cricket Ground, St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda, and then again in the same place in 2008. It was a variety of the popular Twenty20 format, which had been first introduced in English cricket in 2003. The tournament was separate to the Stanford Super Series, which was held in late 2008. The tournament was privately devised and funded by wealthy American businessman Allen Stanford, who held Antiguan dual nationality. The ICC Americas Championship is a one-day cricket tournament organised by ICC Americas for non-Test national cricket teams in the Americas affiliated with the International Cricket Council. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. A typical Twenty20 game is completed in about two and a half hours, with each innings lasting around 70 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings.
