Lavelle is a census-designated place that is located in Butler Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, Butler Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, Schuylkill County in the Pennsylvania, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the United States. Situated on Pennsylvania Route 901, it was part of the Lavelle-Locustdale, Pennsylvania, Lavelle-Locustdale CDP for the 2000 census, before the communities were split into the two separate CDPs of Lavelle and Locustdale, Pennsylvania, Locustdale. Originally named Salome, as a tribute to the wife of one of the town's pioneer settlers, the community was officially renamed as Lavelle sometime around 1880 in honor of Martin M. Lavelle, an Ashland, Pennsylvania attorney who had been a cavalryman during the American Civil War. Lavelle Road is an upmarket residential and commercial street in the city of Bangalore, Karnataka in India. It is an important connection between Mahatma Gandhi Square and Richmond Circle. Caroline Lavelle is an English singer-songwriter and cellist who has created three solo albums and contributed vocals, music, and production help to many other artists and bands. Career Lavelle studied at the Royal College of Music in London. Throughout the early to mid-eighties she busked in the city, often outside Kensington Tube Station and Covent Garden, playing baroque music with Anne Stephenson and Virginia Astley (or Virginia Hewes; sources are confused) in a group called ''Humouresque''. Gary Robert Lavelle (born January 3, 1949) is a retired professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1974 to 1987. Career Lavelle grew up in Pennsylvania, where he attended Liberty High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Lavelle spent the majority of his Major League career with the San Francisco Giants, and also played for the Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland Athletics before retiring in 1987. He posted a career high 13 wins in 1978 and accumulated 136 saves in his 13-season career. Lavelle lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia and coaches baseball at the Virginia Beach campus of Bryant & Stratton College. James Lavelle (born 22 February 1974) is an English electronic musician, record label owner and curator. He founded the Mo'Wax record label in 1992, and has been the only constant member of UNKLE. He directed the 2014 edition of the Meltdown festival on London's South Bank, and curated the 2016 exhibition "Daydreaming with Stanley Kubrick" at Somerset House. Louis Lavelle (; July 15, 1883 – September 1, 1951) was a French philosopher, considered one of the greatest French metaphysicians of the twentieth century. His magnum opus, ''La Dialectique de l'éternel présent'' (1922), is a systematic metaphysical work.
