Olav Larssen
Olav Larssen (10 July 1894 – 5 July 1981) was a Norwegian newspaper editor and politician for the Labour and Communist parties. Personal life Olav Larssen was born in Furnes as a son of baker Kristian Larssen and Lovise Wahlum (1873–1923). He attended primary school in rural Furnes, but then moved to the nearby city Hamar to take apprenticeship as a typographer. By 1910 he dwelled as a tenant in ''Østregate 55'' in the neighborhood Østbyen, nearby Hamar Station. He recalled having to adapt to the city culture, and shed some of his childhood dialect/sociolect. In 1917 he married taylor's daughter Aslaug Rustad (1892–1987). She hailed from Hamar and was the oldest girl of ten siblings. After her mother's death when she was fourteen, she had to abandon plans to become a hairdresser to help her father with tending to their family. Rolf Falk-Larssen (born 21 February 1960) is a former speed skater. __NOTOC__ Representing Trondhjems Skøiteklub, Rolf Falk-Larssen made his international debut at the European Allround Championships of 1982 and he was in the lead after three distances. On the final distance (the 10,000 m), he was paired against Tomas Gustafson, the number two after three distances. With just one lap left to go in that 10,000 m, it seemed that Falk-Larssen would be crowned as the new European Champion, but Gustafson skated an extraordinary last lap, setting a new world record of 14:23.59, and beating Falk-Larssen (who skated a great 14:30.34– a new Norwegian record) by 0.021 points (equivalent to just 0.42 seconds of difference on the 10,000 m). Anna Vilhelmine Johanne Dorthea Larssen Bjørner née Halberg (1875–1955) was a Danish actress and Pentecostal preacher. She was born in to a theatrical family and she was appearing in plays at the age of six. However her father died and her mother had to give away three of her children to survive. She was seen as a talented actress when she appeared aged sixteen in Musset's '' Man skal nik spøge med Kærlighenden''. From 1885 to 1909 she gained popularity, performing on the stages of Copenhagen's and Folketeatret. At the height of her success, in 1909 under the influence of Thomas Ball Barratt of the Pentecostal movement, she canceled her contract with the theatre and went on to devote the rest of her life to evangelism. Svein Døvle Larssen (20 April 1928 – 23 January 2015) was a Norwegian newspaper editor. He spent most of his career in the Conservative press in the county of Vestfold, and was also an elected politician for the Conservative Party. Georg Hagerup-Larssen (16 January 1903 – 21 September 1982) was a Norwegian engineer and businessperson. He was born in Ankenes. He graduated as an electrical engineer from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1928, and after some months in Siemens-Schuckert in Germany he was hired as engineer at Haugvik Smelteverk. In 1936 he was hired in Elektrokemisk (later Elkem). From June 1940, during the Second World War, he was the company's representative in the United States and Canada, fleeing occupied Norway via the Soviet Union and Japan. His main task was to spread the Søderberg electrode technology. He returned to Norway in 1946.
