Lance Palmer
Lance Palmer (born February 7, 1987) is an American professional mixed martial artist and former collegiate wrestler. He currently competes in the featherweight division of Professional Fighters League, where he is the 2019's tournament champion. As a folkstyle wrestler, he was a four-time NCAA Division I All-American and four-time OHSAA state champion. Wrestling career High school Palmer started wrestling at the age of nine and won every OHSAA (state) tournament since his freshman year of high school, making him a four-time Ohio champion out of St. Edward High School. He graduated with a record of 150-6 and also won a NHSCA Senior National championship while coached by Greg Urbas. The Ohio State Buckeyes wrestling team represents the Ohio State University and competes in the Big Ten Conference of the NCAA Division I level. The Buckeyes host their home meets at the Covelli Center on Ohio State's campus. The team is coached by two-time NCAA Division I All-American and two-time Big Ten Conference champion for the Iowa Hawkeyes Tom Ryan. Greg Urbas is a retired head wrestling coach at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio. Military career From 1973–1977, Urbas was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for junior and senior high schools in the state of Ohio.
