Lambton—Middlesex is a federal electoral district (Canada), electoral district represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1979 to 1997. It was located in the provinces and territories of Canada, province of Ontario. This riding was created in 1976 from parts of Huron—Middlesex, Lambton—Kent, Middlesex—London—Lambton and Sarnia—Lambton ridings. It was initially defined as consisting of (a) the County of Lambton, excluding the Townships of Moore and Sarnia and any part of the county west of them, and the Township of Moore, and any part of the county north of it, Indian Reserve No. 46, and (b) the part of the County of Middlesex west of the Townships of Biddulph, London and Westminster. Lambton—Kent was a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1935 to 1979. This riding was created in 1933 from parts of Kent, Lambton East and Lambton West ridings. Perth—Middlesex was an electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1997 to 2003 and in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1999 to 2007. This riding was created in 1996 from parts of Lambton—Middlesex, London—Middlesex and Perth—Wellington—Waterloo ridings. It consisted of: :* the County of Perth (including the City of Stratford and the Town of St Mary's) and :* the northeast part of the County of Middlesex (consisting of the Townships of McGillivray, East Williams, Lobo, Biddulph and West Nissouri). Lambton—Kent—Middlesex (formerly known as Middlesex—Kent—Lambton) is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1997. The district includes all of Middlesex County except the City of London and Thames Centre Township, all of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent north of the Thames River, and excluding the former City of Chatham, and the Municipalities of Lambton Shores, Brooke-Alvinston Township, Dawn Euphemia Township, Warwick Township and the Indian reserves of Kettle Point and Walpole Island in the County of Lambton. Sidney Fraleigh
Sidney Arthur Fraleigh (born 5 February 1931) is a former Progressive Conservative party member of the House of Commons of Canada. Born in Forest, Ontario, Fraleigh is a farmer by career. He was the son of Sidney Anderson Fraleigh and was educated at the University of Guelph. In 1953, Fraleigh married Velma Eloise Minielly. He served as a member of the council for Bosanquet Township and was also chairman of the board for the Ontario Pork Producers Marketing Board. Fraleigh won the seat for the Lambton—Middlesex electoral district in the 1979 federal election but lost there in the 1980 federal election to Ralph Ferguson of the Liberal party. Sarnia—Lambton (formerly known as Sarnia) is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1968. It is located in the area of the city of Sarnia, in the southwest corner of the province of Ontario. Until 2015, Sarnia—Lambton, with its predecessors Sarnia, and Lambton West, was Canada's most bellwetherly riding, having voted for the winning party from 1963 to 2011. Rose-Marie Ur
Rose-Marie Margaret Ur (born July 28, 1946 in Glencoe, Ontario) is a Canadian politician. She was a member of the House of Commons of Canada from 1993 until 2005 and, in her final term in office, represented the riding of Middlesex—Kent—Lambton for the Liberal Party. Biography Ur was educated at the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, receiving certification as a registered nurse assistant in 1964. She practised in this field from 1963 to 1966, then left to work as a farmer until 1990. She also worked as a constituency assistant to provincial Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Doug Reycraft from 1986 to 1988, and federal Member of Parliament (MP) Ralph Ferguson from 1988 to 1993. Ur is a member of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. She was first elected to parliament in the 1993 federal election, defeating her nearest opponent by almost 11,000 votes in the old riding of Lambton—Middlesex.
