Lambton—Kent—Middlesex (formerly known as Middlesex—Kent—Lambton) is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1997. The district includes all of Middlesex County except the City of London and Thames Centre Township, all of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent north of the Thames River, and excluding the former City of Chatham, and the Municipalities of Lambton Shores, Brooke-Alvinston Township, Dawn Euphemia Township, Warwick Township and the Indian reserves of Kettle Point and Walpole Island in the County of Lambton. Brooke-Alvinston is a township municipality in the Canadian province of Ontario, located within Lambton County. It was formed on January 1, 2001, when the Township of Brooke (incorporated 1842) was amalgamated with the Village of Alvinston (incorporated on June 12, 1880). Dawn-Euphemia is a township (Canada), township in southwestern Ontario, Canada, in Lambton County. Walpole Island
Walpole Island is an island and First Nation reserve in southwestern Ontario, Canada, on the border between Ontario and Michigan in the United States. It is located in the mouth of the St. Clair River on Lake St. Clair, about by road from Windsor, Ontario and from Detroit, Michigan. It is unceded territory and is inhabited by the Ojibwe, Potawatomi, and Odawa peoples of the Walpole Island First Nation, who call it Bkejwanong, meaning "where the waters divide" in Anishinaabemowin. In addition to Walpole Island, the reserve includes Squirrel Island, St. Anne Island, Seaway Island (except a small U.S. portion), Bassett Island, and Potawatomi Island. Bev Shipley
Beverly "Bev" Shipley (born June 22, 1947 in Middlesex Centre, Ontario) is a retired farmer and politician in Ontario, Canada who served as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Lambton—Kent—Middlesex from 2006 to 2019 as a member of the Conservative Party. Shipley ran in the 2004 election for the Conservatives in Lambton—Kent—Middlesex but lost to incumbent Rose-Marie Ur of the Liberal Party of Canada by only 164 votes. Shipley won the seat in 2006 after Ur did not seek re-election, and was re-elected in 2008, 2011, and 2015. Shipley announced on July 9, 2018 that he would not be running in the 2019 federal election. Warwick, Ontario
Warwick is a rural township in Lambton County, Ontario, Canada, with a population (2016) of 3,692. Bisected by the Egremont Road that was surveyed to link London with the Lake Huron shoreline in 1832, the township began to attract settlers including those helped by charitable organizations, such as Lord Sheffield's Petworth settlers, and retired soldiers from the British Army. A village by the same name was surveyed within the township where Bear Creek crossed the Egremont. The larger village of Watford was established to the southeast of Warwick Village when the Great Western Railway was established in the 1850s.
