Lai Sun Group () is a Hong Kong conglomerate. It was founded by garment billionaire and entrepreneur, Lim Por-yen. Its businesses include property development, real estate investment, hotel, telecom, mass media and entertainment. Lai Sun is working with Major League Gaming to build an esports arena on Hengqin. Lai Sun Group is developing Novotown at Hengqin, Zhuhai, China. It is an integrated tourism and entertainment project. Phase one has been completed, and features two indoor attractions Lionsgate Entertainment World and National Geographic Ultimate Explorer. It also includes the 494-room Hengqin Hyatt Regency Hotel and mixed-use shopping centre with a host of restaurants and bars. Phase one costs about 5 billion yuan (HK$6.16 billion). AIA Central
The AIA Central (), formerly called AIG Tower (), in Hong Kong is a 185-metre (607 ft.), 37-storey skyscraper that was completed in 2005 and serves as the headquarters of AIA Group. It is located in Central, not far from the landmark Bank of China Tower. The Furama Kempinski Hotel, famous for its revolving restaurant, formerly stood on the same lot that the former AIG Tower rises from, but in December 2001, the 33-storey hotel was demolished to make way for the AIG Tower. The tower was renamed to AIA Central on 9 July 2009. The building was jointly developed by Lai Sun Development, CapitaLand, and American International Group (AIG). The architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed the building to look like the Chinese junk, a Chinese sailboat design dating from ancient times and still in use today. Leslie E. Crocodile Garments is a textile and garments company based in Hong Kong. Crocodile Garments was founded by the late Dr. Chan Shun (1917-1997) in 1952. Ms Vanessa Lam is the current Chairman & CEO of the company. History When he was young, Chan learnt to sew and fix sewing machines, which he used to earn money while traveling between Chinese towns in his teenage years. Chan founded his company, then called the Li Wah Man Shirt Factory , in 1952. The brand of Crocodile Garments was introduced after Chan wanted his products to be as "tough and luxurious as crocodile skin". The company was able to secure the trademark, initially registered in 1910 by Germans before it was confiscated by British authorities after World War II. Chan retired in 1970 and let his children run the company.
