''La Voz'' (Spanish for ''The Voice'') is a Uruguayan singing reality competition television series broadcast on Channel 10. Created by John de Mol, it premiered on March 7, 2022. Based on the original '' The Voice of Holland'', and part of ''The Voice'' franchise, it aims to find unsigned singing talent (solo or duets, professional and amateur) contested by aspiring singers, age 16 or over, drawn from public auditions. History On September 20, 2021, it was reported that the Channel 10 had won the rights to ''The Voice Uruguay'' after doubling down in negotiations due to the fact that both Teledoce and Channel 4 showed interest in acquiring the rights. Teledoce Televisora Color, also known as Canal 12 is a Uruguayan free-to-air television network, located in the capital of Uruguay, Montevideo. It is owned by Grupo Disco. María Noelia Etcheverry Daset (born 31 March 1986) is a Uruguayan television presenter. Known for her television work with Channel 10, she currently presents ''Sonríe, te estamos grabando'' (2022–present), '' La Voz Kids'' (2023) and '' La Voz'' (2024–present) At the age of 15, she hosted a cultural program on local television in her hometown. Subrayado is the news program of the Uruguayan Channel 10. It airs from Monday to Friday at three different times, in addition to a broadcast on Sundays and holidays. ''The Voice of Holland'', also known as ''TVOH'', is a Dutch reality TV singing competition, that became a near global TV format franchise, created by media tycoon John de Mol and musician Roel van Velzen, in the Netherlands airing on RTL 4.
