Linea Turistica Aereotuy LTA, C.A. was a Venezuelan regional and domestic airline headquartered in Caracas and based at Simón Bolívar International Airport. History The airline was established in 1982 and started operations on June 30 of the year. It was part of a full service safari company with its own lodges, camps, guides, aircraft and sailing vessels and operated services to remote destinations in Venezuela, including tourist attractions. It had 300 employees by March 2010. In October 2014, the airline was forced to suspend its flights to Aruba, affecting more than 7,000 customers. The airline's suspension was due to a failure in an aircraft that covered the route, however the National Institute of Civil Aviation indicated that the suspension was due to the over-sale of tickets for said route, as well as the creation of new unauthorized flights to cover the over-sale. The Los Roques Archipelago (Spanish: ''Archipiélago de Los Roques'') is a federal dependency of Venezuela consisting of approximately 350 islands, cays, and islets in a total area of 40.61 square kilometers. The archipelago is located directly north of the port of La Guaira, in the Caribbean Sea. The islands' pristine coral reef attracts many wealthy visitors, especially from Europe, some of whom come in their own yachts and anchor in the inner, protected shallow waters. Cessna 208B Grand Caravan
The Cessna 208 Caravan is a utility aircraft produced by Cessna. The project was commenced on November 20, 1981, and the prototype first flew on December 9, 1982. The production model was certified by the FAA in October 1984 and its Cargomaster freighter variant was developed for FedEx. The longer 208B Super Cargomaster first flew in 1986 and was developed into the passenger 208B Grand Caravan. The strutted, high wing 208 typically seats nine passengers in its unpressurized cabin, is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A tractor turboprop and has a fixed tricycle landing gear, floats, or skis. The Cessna 205, 206, and 207, known primarily as the Stationair (and marketed variously as the Super Skywagon, Skywagon and Super Skylane) are a family of single-engined, general aviation aircraft with fixed landing gear, used in commercial air service as well as for personal use. The de Havilland Canada DHC-7, popularly known as the Dash 7, is a turboprop-powered regional airliner with STOL, short take-off and landing (STOL) performance.
