Lyn Brockway
Lyn Brockway (born 1929) is an American painter who was active in the San Francisco abstract expressionism movement in the 1950s. Biography Having grown up in San Francisco, Lyn Brockway went on to attend the University of California (Berkeley) and took courses at the California School of Fine Arts (now San Francisco Art Institute). In the late 1940s, Brockway met Robert Duncan and the artist Jess, and became active in numerous exhibitions, poetry gatherings, and creative endeavors through their circle. Her work is known for its figurative quality, use of bright, hallucinatory colors, rich compositions, and a romanticism emblematic of much work during the San Francisco Renaissance. Morris And Helen Belkin Art Gallery
The Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Vancouver, British Columbia, on the campus of the University of British Columbia. The gallery is housed in an award-winning building designed by architect Peter Cardew and opened in 1995. It houses UBC's growing collection of contemporary art as well as an archives containing objects and records related to the history of art in Vancouver. The Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery mounts 4 to 7 exhibitions of art per year by nationally and internationally known artists, and works from the collection are showcased annually in a thematic exhibition. An International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) is an eight-digit serial number used to uniquely identify a serial publication, such as a magazine. The ISSN is especially helpful in distinguishing between serials with the same title. ISSNs are used in ordering, cataloging, interlibrary loans, and other practices in connection with serial literature.
