Lycée Claudel Station
Lycée Claudel station (formerly ''Abbey station'') is a bus rapid transit station on Ottawa's Transitway served by OC Transpo buses. It is located on Ottawa's Southeast Transitway, and is one stop south of the main hub of Hurdman. The station is named for the adjacent French private school Lycée Claudel d'Ottawa. The station's former name ''Abbey'' refers to nearby Abbey Road, a short local road which is located further behind the school and the CN railway (which runs parallel to the Transitway). Ottawa Rapid Transit
The Transitway is a bus rapid transit (BRT) network operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It comprises a series of bus-only roadways and reserved lanes on city streets and highways. The dedicated busways ensure that buses and emergency vehicles on the Transitway rarely intersect directly with regular traffic, making it possible to run quickly and consistently, even during rush hour traffic. OC Transpo operates a network of rapid routes which use the Transitway to connect communities with the O-Train light rail system. Additional bus routes also use segments of the Transitway. The Transitway opened in 1983 with five stations. The network expanded greatly to include over fifty stations at its peak. OC Transpo
OC Transpo is the primary Transit district, public transport agency for the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, operating bus rapid transit, light rail, conventional transit bus, bus routes, and door-to-door paratransit in the nation's capital region. Hurdman Station
Hurdman station is a major station on Ottawa's O-Train Line 1, and bus rapid transit (BRT) system, Transitway. Location The station is located southeast of Hurdman Bridge, and south of where Highway 417 crosses the Rideau River. It is also located near the intersection of Industrial Avenue and Riverside Drive/Vanier Parkway. There are connections from Hurdman station to the nearby neighbourhood of Riverview to the east, with a bus-only road connecting to Alta Vista Drive. There are also connections for bicycle users, as Hurdman station is located near to the Rideau River bicycle path. The station and nearby landmarks, Hurdman Park, Hurdman Road, and Hurdman Bridge, are named for the region's early settlers.
