Luuk, Sulu
Luuk, officially the Municipality of Luuk ( Tausūg: ''Kawman sin Luuk''; tl, Bayan ng Luuk), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Sulu, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 37,873 people. On July 14, 2007, 8 of its barangays were constituted into the separate municipality of Omar, Sulu. History Luuk was the main site of the violent Kamlon Revolt in 1951. This municipality was once a warzone where the government forces and the Muslim rebels would engage frequently for a span of 5–7 years. Liège ( , , ; wa, Lîdje ; nl, Luik ; german: Lüttich ) is a major city and municipality of Wallonia and the capital of the Belgian province of Liège. The city is situated in the valley of the Meuse, in the east of Belgium, not far from borders with the Netherlands (Maastricht is about to the north) and with Germany (Aachen is about north-east). In Liège, the Meuse meets the river Ourthe. The city is part of the '' sillon industriel'', the former industrial backbone of Wallonia. Luuk de Jong (; born 27 August 1990) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a striker for Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven and the Netherlands national team. De Jong previously played for DZC '68, De Graafschap, Twente, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Newcastle United, before joining PSV in 2014. He played over 200 games for the club, scoring over 100 goals, and helped them win the Eredivisie three times in his five-season stay. Luuk Folkerts (born 1963) is a Dutch politician and environmental consultant serving since 28 November 2010 as chairman of the Party for the Animals (''Partij voor de Dieren'', PvdD), succeeding to party founder Marianne Thieme. Luuk Gruwez
Luuk Gruwez (born 9 August 1953) is a Flemish poet. Since 1976, he lives in Hasselt, where he worked until 1995 as a teacher. Gruwez was born at Kortrijk. He attended high school there at the ''Damiaancollege'' and graduated in Germanic philology at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. In 1976 he moved from Kortrijk to Hasselt. He earns a living as a teacher there until his career break in 1995 after being granted a scholarship as a writer. Gruwez' work is sometimes considered to belong to the neoromantic movement in response to the new realism of the 60s, with its typical emphasis on the emotions of life, love, disease, decay and death. Luuk Tinbergen (7 September 1915, in The Hague – 1 September 1955, in Groningen) was a Dutch ornithologist and ecologist. Tinbergen was the youngest of three eminent brothers — both Jan and Nikolaas won Nobel Prizes, for economics and physiology or medicine, respectively. He was appointed in 1949 by Gerard Baerends to the University of Groningen, where he developed important concepts in ethology. He was influenced to specialize in ethology by ethologist brother Niko with whom he was very close, but he also was influenced by Jan to introduce a level of quantitative analysis not previously utilized in ethology. Luuk Johannes van Middelaar (born 9 May 1973 in Eindhoven) is a Dutch historian and political philosopher. From December 2009 to 2014 he was a member of the ''cabinet'' of Herman Van Rompuy, the first full-time President of the European Council. Van Middelaar is best known for his book ''The Passage to Europe'' (originally published in 2009 and widely translated). Van Middelaar studied history and philosophy at the University of Groningen and the Centre Raymond Aron of the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociale in Paris. Kristian Luuk's show had ratings around 1.5 million viewers every week. Kristian had many celebrity guests like Cher, Whitney Houston, Madonna (entertainer), Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey. In 2004, after 8 years of broadcasting the show, Kristian Luuk decided to quit the talk show and started his new project God Afton Sverige, which turned out to be a failure.
