Lutheran High School West, also known as Lutheran West, is a private college-prep Christian co-ed high school in Rocky River, Ohio, United States, serving Cleveland and Northeast Ohio families since 1958. History In 1946, sixteen Lutheran congregations formally met to establish an association and resolved to establish a Lutheran high school in Cleveland, Ohio. The result was the founding of the Cleveland Lutheran High School Association (CLHSA). In 1948, Lutheran West's precursor, Lutheran High School, was built in the east side of Cleveland. In 1958, that school's property was acquired by the state of Ohio for construction of Interstate 90, and the CLHSA decided to build two high schools: Lutheran High School West and Lutheran High School East, located in Cleveland Heights. Newport is an unincorporated community in Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community is located within Berlin Charter Township. As an unincorporated community, Newport has no legally defined boundaries or population statistics of its own but does have its own post office with the 48166 ZIP Code. Harper Woods is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The city had a population of 15,492 at the 2020 census. Westland, Michigan
Westland is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located about west of downtown Detroit. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 84,094. It is the 10th largest city and 12th largest municipality in Michigan. History Early history During the 18th century, the area was inhabited by the people of a Potawatomi Native American village. Other tribes, particularly three Algonquian tribes, used the area as hunting territory. Though white settlers did not begin to settle the area until about 1824, they began passing through at the beginning of the 19th century. Before becoming Westland, the area had several other names.
