Lusail Cycling Circuit
Lusail ( ar, لوسيل, , ) is the second-largest city in Qatar, located on the coast, in the southern part of the municipality of Al Daayen. Lusail is located about north of the city centre of Doha, just north of the West Bay Lagoon, on over and will eventually have the infrastructure to accommodate 450,000 people. Of these 450,000 people, it is estimated that 250,000 or fewer will be residents, 190,000 will be office workers and 60,000 will be retail workers. It is planned to have marinas, residential areas, island resorts, commercial districts, luxury shopping and leisure facilities, and a golf course community, man made islands and several entertainment districts. Construction is still ongoing. Development is being carried out by the state-controlled developer Qatari Diar along with Parsons Corporation and Dorsch-Gruppe. Municipalities Of Qatar
Since 2015, Qatar has been divided into eight municipalities. In 2004, a new municipality, Al Daayen, was created under Resolution No. 13, formed from parts of Umm Salal and Al Khawr; at the same time, Al Ghuwariyah was merged with Al Khawr; Al Jumaliyah was merged with Ar Rayyan; Jarayan al Batnah was split between Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah; and Mesaieed was merged with Al Wakrah. Al Egla ( ar, العقلة) is a district with portions in the municipality of Al Daayen and the municipality of Doha in Qatar. It adjoins the area of the planned city of Lusail. Jabal Thuaileb ( ar, جبل ثعيلب, Jabal Thu‘aylib, Fox Hills) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Daayen. It is also a census-designated district of Ad-Dawhah. Al Kharayej
Al Kharayej ( ar, الخرايج, Al Kharā’ij) is a district in Qatar, geographically located in the municipality of Al Daayen but also included in the census as a district of Ad-Dawhah. After a cabinet resolution was passed in 2002, Al Kharayej became the one of three settlements in Qatar where foreigners could own real estate. It is a part of Lusail city.
