Art Lund
Arthur Lund (April 1, 1915 – May 31, 1990) was an American baritone singer, initially with bandleaders Benny Goodman and Harry James, and was also a television and stage actor. Biography Arthur Lund was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, and received his master's degree from the United States Naval Academy in aerological engineering. Lund was a high school math teacher in Kentucky who worked as a musician on the side. He left teaching to tour with Jimmy Ray and his band. He originally billed himself as Art London. He found work early on as a vocalist with a band led by clarinetist Jimmy Joy. A better-known clarinetist whom Lund would later sing with was Benny Goodman, with whom he cut several records, including “Blue Skies,” “On the Alamo,” and (in duet with Peggy Lee) “Winter Weather” and “If You Build a Better Mousetrap”. Doug Lund
Doug Lund was the former co-anchor of the 5 and 6 news at KELO-TV. Biography As a child, Doug Lund dreamed of being on television. He reported that the personalities at KELO-TV were idols of his; and, years later, they became his colleagues. In 1974, Doug Lund started his career at KELO-TV as a commercial announcer. In 1975, he joined the Keloland news team; and, he and Steve Hemmingsen co-anchored of the 10pm newscast. In 1977, Lund and Hemmingsen co-anchored the 6pm newscast for the next twenty-five years. Later, Lund was moved from the 10pm newscast to the new 5pm newscast. Doug Lund's last newscast was broadcast on December 29, 2006. Don Lund
Donald Andrew Lund (May 18, 1923 – December 10, 2013) was an American professional baseball outfielder who played in Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1945, 1947–1948), St. Louis Browns (1948) and Detroit Tigers (1949, 1952–1954). He batted and threw right-handed. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Lund graduated from Detroit Southeastern High School and then attended the University of Michigan where he lettered in baseball, football and basketball. He was signed out of the University of Michigan by the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1945. Although drafted in the 1st round of the NFL draft in 1945 by the Chicago Bears as a running back, Lund felt baseball would be the better career choice. Used mainly as a reserve, he played part of three seasons with the Dodgers and St. Louis Browns between 1945 and 1948. Deanna Lund (May 30, 1937 – June 22, 2018) was an American film and television actress best known for her role in the Irwin Allen television series ''Land of the Giants'', in which she played the character of Valerie Ames Scott. Early years Lund was the daughter of attorney Arthur Lund, who at one time served in the legislature of Illinois. The family moved to Daytona Beach, Florida, when she was eight. Corb Lund is a Canadian country and western singer-songwriter from Taber, Alberta, Canada. He has released eleven albums, three of which are certified gold. Lund tours regularly in Canada, the United States and Australia, and has received several awards in Canada and abroad. Biography Corb Lund grew up in Southern Alberta living on his family's farm and ranches near Taber, Cardston and Rosemary. Carsten Lund (born July 1, 1963) is a Danish-born theoretical computer scientist, currently working at AT&T Labs in Bedminster, New Jersey, United States. Lund was born in Aarhus, Denmark, and received the "kandidat" degree in 1988 from the University of Aarhus and his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in computer science. His thesis, entitled The Power of Interaction, was chosen as an ACM 'Distinguished Dissertation'.
