Luke Samoa (born 13 May 1988) is a New Zealand-born Romanian people, Romanian rugby union football player. He plays in the Fullback (rugby union), fullback position for professional SuperLiga (rugby), SuperLiga clubTimișoara Saracens, Timișoara . He also plays for Romania's national team, the Romania national rugby union team, Oaks, making his international debut at the 2017 Rugby Europe Championship in a match against the Germany national rugby union team, German national rugby union team. The Northern Suburbs Devils, or North Brisbane Devils, or often simply referred to as Norths for short, are a rugby league club representing the northern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. 2017 Rugby Europe Championship
The 2017 Rugby Europe Championship is the premier rugby union competition outside of the Six Nations Championship in Europe. It is the inaugural Championship under its new format, that saw Belgium, Georgia, Germany, Romania, Russia and Spain compete for the title. This year's edition of the Rugby Europe Championship also served as the 2019 Rugby World Cup qualifiers for the European region. Fullback (rugby Union)
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs.
