Luka Zahović
Luka Zahović (born 15 November 1995) is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays for Polish club Pogoń Szczecin and the Slovenia national team as a forward. Club career Early career Born in Guimarães, Portugal, Zahović began his career at Spanish club Valencia before moving to Portuguese club Benfica. When Zahović was twelve years old, his family returned to Slovenia, and he joined Maribor's youth selections in the 2007–08 season after his father Zlatko became a new director of football at the club. Guimarães () is a city and municipality located in northern Portugal, in the district of Braga. Zlatko Zahovič (; born 1 February 1971) is a Slovenian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. After making a name for himself in Europe in Portugal, most notably with Porto and Benfica where he amassed Primeira Liga totals of 246 matches and 54 goals over one full decade, he went on to have brief stints in Spain and Greece. He was known for dribbling and goal-scoring ability alike. Although primarily a midfielder, he scored 11 goals in 32 Champions League appearances and 35 in 80 for the Slovenian national team. The Slovenian Third Football League ( sl, Tretja slovenska nogometna liga or commonly 3. SNL) is the third tier of the Football in Slovenia, Slovenian football system. Since 2019 the league consists of two regional groups (East and West). They are operated by the Intercommunal Football Associations. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries. Nogometni klub Zavrč or simply NK Zavrč was a Slovenian football club from Zavrč. The club was founded in 1969, but ceased operations in 2016 due to financial difficulties. 2014–15 NK Maribor Season
The 2014–15 season was Maribor's 55th season of football and the club's 24th consecutive season in the Slovenian PrvaLiga since the league establishment in 1991. The 2013–14 Slovenian PrvaLiga was the 23rd edition of the Slovenian PrvaLiga since its establishment in 1991. Also known by the abbreviation 1. Ante Šimundža
Ante Šimundža (born 28 September 1971) is a Slovenian professional football manager and former player. Club career Šimundža started his career at hometown club Železničar Maribor at the age of ten, and moved to NK Maribor after Slovenia's independence in 1991. He stayed there for six seasons, scoring 64 league goals in 170 appearances. He played for a number of different foreign clubs between 1997 and 1998, however, plagued by constant ankle injuries he soon returned to Maribor. There he was an important part of Maribor's qualification to the UEFA Champions League during the 1999–2000 season. He was the scorer of the winning goal in the first round of the group stage when Maribor defeated Dynamo Kyiv 1–0, which is to date the only victory of any Slovenian club in this phase of the competition.
