''Luiza que está no Canadá'' ("Luiza, who is in Canada") is a Brazilian Internet meme that arose from a television advertisement for a residential building in Paraíba, the Boulevard Saint Germain, aired in January 2012. In the ad, Geraldo Rabello invites the family to talk about the development, "except Luiza, who is in Canada". The phrase soon became popular on Twitter and Facebook, quickly becoming one of the most talked about topics on the social networks. The phrase was quoted by celebrities and companies, and inspired the creation of a game. Luiza returned to Brazil on January 17, expressing her anxiety and nerves. Subsequently, she filmed a new commercial to replace the previous one. Following this, an official government network sparked controversy by quoting the meme in a joke. Senhora? () is a Brazilian Internet meme that arose from an interview Edinair Maria dos Santos Moraes gave TV Anhanguera in 2015. Edinair, along with other servers of the Legislative Assembly of Goiás (Alego), was caught making an appointment and leaving soon afterward for three days. The reporter Renata Costa questioned the servant about this, who started running, being followed by the reporter who said, "Ma'am? Ma'am?". The interview was broadcast on September 28, 2015, and soon became popular on the Internet, inspiring mobile games and entering several best memes of the year lists, besides being the most searched term on Google in this category. After the case, Edinair was exonerated and left Goiânia, and Alego made changes to avoid cases like this. In retrospect, cases of people running away from interviews were compared to Edinair's. Sanduíche-iche is an Internet meme that emerged in Brazil from an interview with nutritionist Ruth Lemos on TV Globo Nordeste in 2004. In it, Lemos stutters, saying the word "sanduíche-iche" ("sandwich-wich"). The video went viral in 2005 through the social network Orkut communities and was shown on the television program Pânico na TV. Lemos initially didn't like the repercussion, but, taking advantage of the visibility, she ran for state deputy. This is considered one of the first memes in Brazil.
