Luis Pereyra
Luis Pereyra (born 9 July 1965) is a dancer and choreographer of Tango Argentino and Argentinian folk dances. Life Luis Pereyra was born to a humble working-class family, in the province of Santiago del Estero. At the age of five he danced in folk dancing groups. At the age of eleven he made his first professional appearance as a member of the ballet Argentino directed by Mario Machaco and Norma Ré. He made his first appearance on stage at the legendary Caño 14, where the famous bandoneón player Aníbal Troilo appeared at the same time. Later Luis Pereyra became a member of the Ballett Salta, directed by Marina and Hugo Jiménez. Luis Pereyra studied choreography under Maestro Carusso direction in Teatro Colón, the opera house of Buenos Aires, and at Escuela Nacional de Danzas. Milonga (dance)
Milonga dance is dancing to milonga music. Technique There are different styles of milonga: ''milonga lisa'' (simple milonga), in which the dancer steps on every beat of the music; and ''milonga con traspié'', in which the dancer uses ''traspiés'' or ''contrapasos'' (changes of weight from one foot to the other and back again in double time or three steps in two beats) to interpret the music. The beat of milonga music is syncopated. It consist of 8 counts with the accents on the first, however it can also sometimes be on the second, additionally the accents are present on the forth, fifth and seventh counts. Thus, dynamics may be danced without having to run fast or without the use of much space. Overall, milonga is danced in a faster pace than tango which makes this dance "unforgiving" regarding mistakes or clumsiness. Nicole Nau
Nicole Nau (born January 30, 1963) is a German dancer of Tango Argentino and Argentine folklore. Life Nau was born in Düsseldorf, and after studying graphic design she first worked for advertising agencies before she settled in Argentina to be formally instructed as a professional dancer. In 1990 she had her first appearance in ''Café Homero'' to be followed by an engagement as a dancer in the opera ''Maratón''Teatro Colón opera house in Buenos Aires. In 2002 she had her premiere with the tango opera ''Orestes - Last Tango'', which was created in a co-production with the ''WMTF Festival of Holland''. It was here that she danced with Luis Pereyra for the first time who is her husband and dance partner now.
