Luhansk Oblast Campaign
Since 19 September 2022, a military campaign has taken place along a 60-km frontline in western parts of Luhansk Oblast and far-eastern parts of Kharkiv Oblast amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Also known as the Svatove–Kreminna line or the Kupiansk–Svatove–Kreminna–Bilohorivka line after the major settlements along the front, the campaign began a day after the Ukrainian Army Second battle of Lyman, recaptured the nearby city of Lyman, Ukraine, Lyman during the 2022 Kharkiv counteroffensive, Kharkiv counteroffensive after of which the front line froze over the next few months. Eastern Ukraine Campaign
The eastern Ukraine campaign is a theatre of operation in the ongoing 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine that affects three provinces ( oblasts) in the eastern part of Ukraine: Donetsk Oblast and Luhansk Oblast (collectively the Donbas) and Kharkiv Oblast. The invasion is an escalation or intensification of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which had been waged between Ukraine and Russian proxies since 2014. The battle of Donbas is a major offensive in this theatre of operations and is considered to be the second strategic phase of the invasion. By July 2022, Russian forces and their separatist allies had captured the cities of Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Rubizhne and Izium. However, in early September, Ukraine launched a major counteroffensive in the east, which recaptured the cities of Izium, Balakliia, Kupiansk, Sviatohirsk and the strategic city of Lyman. 100th Territorial Defense Brigade (Ukraine)
The 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade ( uk, 100 окрема механізована бригада, translit=100 okrema mekhanizovana bryhada), is a formation of the Ukrainian Ground Forces formed on 27 June 2018. The brigade was also a former territorial defense brigade until being reformed in late March 2024 as a Mechanized Brigade. The Battle of Donbas is an ongoing military offensive that is part of the wider eastern Ukraine offensive of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Donbas or Donbass (, ; uk, Донба́с ; russian: Донба́сс ) is a historical, cultural, and economic region in eastern Ukraine.
