Luciano Vincenzoni
Luciano Vincenzoni (; 7 March 1926 – 22 September 2013) was an Italian screenwriter, known as the "script doctor". He wrote for some 65 films between 1954 and 2000. Biography Vincenzoni was born in Treviso, Veneto. He is probably best known in world cinema for his scriptwriting of Sergio Leone's ''For a Few Dollars More'' (1965) and ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'' in 1966, but he also wrote for a number of other Spaghetti Westerns. Treviso ( , ; vec, Trevixo) is a city and ''comune'' in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It is the capital of the province of Treviso and the municipality has 84,669 inhabitants (as of September 2017). ''Seduced and Abandoned'' ( it, Sedotta e abbandonata) is a 1964 Italian film directed by Pietro Germi. It was screened at the 1964 Cannes Film Festival. Plot The film presents the tale of Agnese Ascalone, daughter of prominent quarry owner Vincenzo Ascalone, and takes place in a small town in Sicily (specifically Sciacca), as did Germi's previous film, ''Divorce, Italian Style''. Agnese is seduced by her sister Matilde's fiancé, and has a tryst with him for which she confesses and tries to repent, only to be discovered by her mother and father. Vincenzo immediately demands that the man, Peppino Califano, marry his daughter, and antics ensue. The film is a dark satire of Sicilian social customs and honor laws, and is very similar to ''Divorce, Italian Style''.
