Luc Beausoleil
Luc Beausoleil (born October 8, 1967) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Junior career Beausoleil played junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Laval Voisins and Laval Titan. He was awarded the 1986–87 Frank J. Selke Memorial Trophy as the QMJHL's Most Sportsmanlike Player and was named to the 1986–87 Second All-Star Team. Professional career Beausoleil began his professional career in 1988 with the Murrayfield Racers of the British Hockey League (BHL). He also played in the BHL with the Fife Flyers and Swindon Wildcats, and in France, before returning to North America in 1992 to join the Tulsa Oilers of the new Central Hockey League (CHL). He went on to play seven seasons with Tulsa, playing 363 regular season games and 39 playoff games for the Oilers between 1992 and 2000. British Hockey League
The British Hockey League was the top-flight ice hockey league in the United Kingdom from 1980 until 1996 (with a short break between 1981 and 1982), when it was replaced by the Ice Hockey Superleague and the British National League. The league replaced three regional leagues: the Inter-City League in southern England, the English League North in northern England and the Northern League in Scotland. The league was sponsored by Heineken until 1993 and during this period was best known as the ''Heineken League''. The league changed format several times. The top level Premier Division was formed in 1983, and a second tier Division One was formed in 1986, being split into North and South conferences for the 87/88 and 93/94 seasons. Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (french: Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec; abbreviated ''QMJHL'' in English, ''LHJMQ'' in French) is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues that constitute the Canadian Hockey League. The league includes teams in the provinces of Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. The current president of the QMJHL is Gilles Courteau. The President's Cup is the championship trophy of the league. The QMJHL champion then goes on to compete in the Memorial Cup against the OHL and WHL champions, and the CHL host team. Ottawa Wheels
The Ottawa Loggers were a roller hockey team in the Roller Hockey International (RHI) league. They played as the Loggers from 1995 to 1996, until they changed their name to the Ottawa Wheels. History For the 1995 RHI season, the New England Stingers relocated to Ottawa, ON and changed their name to the Loggers. The team finished second in the Atlantic Division that season with a 14-9-1 record, which was third in the Eastern Conference. Ray Miron President's Cup
The Ray Miron President's Cup is a trophy that was awarded to the playoff champion of the Central Hockey League (CHL) from 2002 until 2014, when the remaining CHL teams joined the ECHL. The trophy was known as The William "Bill" Levins Memorial Cup from 1992 until 2000, when the honour was renamed the Ray Miron Cup. (Bill Levins and Ray Miron being the co-founders of the CHL). From 1997-2001, the WPHL's playoff champion was awarded the "President's Cup", so when the CHL and the Western Professional Hockey League merged following their 2000-01 seasons, the CHL combined the traditions of the two leagues by renaming the trophy the "Ray Miron President's Cup". The "Playoff Most Valuable Player" award was also given out as part of the Ray Miron President's Cup Championship ceremonies.
