Love The Life
"Love the Life" is the 1992 debut single by the Australian act Bass Culture, featuring vocalist and songwriter Gina Gardiner, who was credited as Geena before becoming more internationally known as Gina G. The single was taken from the group's debut album ''BC Nation'', which was released in 1993. Although the single peaked outside the top 100 on the ARIA Charts, the song and its video (featuring the act performing in a field of sunflowers) would find renewed interest in the wake of Gina G's global success, prompting Mushroom Records to re-release the song and retitle Geena's billing to Gina G in 1996. Gina G (born Gina Mary Gardiner, 3 August 1970) is an Australian singer who represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996, with the song " Ooh Aah... Just a Little Bit", which reached No. 1 in the UK Singles Chart. The song also reached the US top 20 in 1997 and earned her a 1998 Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance Recording. Her other UK Top 30 hits are " I Belong to You" #6 (1996), "Fresh" #6 (1997), "Ti Amo" #11 (1997) and " Gimme Some Love" #25 (1997). Ivan Gough (born 19 May 1969) is an Australian house music producer and DJ. His first release, a remix of Pendulums "I Need You" became an instant club anthem, being played by the likes of Paul Oakenfold and Pete Tong in the United Kingdom. He released various tracks throughout the late 1990s and was an influential producer in the Melbourne underground scene working with "Zero Tolerance" recordings running their CBD studio. In 2004, he and fellow Melbourne DJ Grant Smillie began the production outfit TV Rock and toured with the Future Music Festival in 2010. Gough left TV Rock early in 2013 to pursue solo projects.
