Lou Lopez Sénéchal
Lou Lopez Sénéchal (born May 12, 1998) is a Mexican-French professional basketball player for the Dallas Wings of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). Lopez Sénéchal played her collegiate basketball for the UConn Huskies of the Big East Conference. She previously played for the Fairfield Stags and was named MAAC Player of the Year as a senior. She was selected 5th overall in the 2023 WNBA draft by the Dallas Wings. Early life and career Lopez Sénéchal was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. Her father Carlos Lopez is Mexican and her mother Sophie Sénéchal is French. Her parents separated when she was five. Guard (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Geno Auriemma
Luigi "Geno" Auriemma (born March 23, 1954) is an Italian-born American college basketball coach and, since 1985, the head coach of the University of Connecticut Huskies women's basketball team. , he has led UConn to 17 undefeated conference seasons (including eight consecutive), of which six were undefeated overall seasons, with 11 NCAA Division I national championships, the most in women's college basketball history, and has won eight national Naismith College Coach of the Year awards. The NCAA transfer portal is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) application, database, and compliance tool launched on October 15, 2018, to manage and facilitate the process for student athletes seeking to transfer between member institutions. The transfer portal permits student athletes to place their name in an online database declaring their desire to transfer. Athletes enter the portal by informing their current school of their desire to transfer; the school then has two business days to enter the athlete's name in the database.
