Lothar Hermann
Lothar Hermann (November 11, 1901 – July 6, 1974) was a German Jew and concentration camp survivor who contributed to the identification and arrest of Adolf Eichmann, one of the major organizers of the Holocaust. Early life and exile Hermann was born in 1901 as the third son of the cattle trader Max Hermann and his wife Sophie in the small town of Quirnbach in the Westerwald. Some of his eleven siblings died early. After school, he completed a commercial apprenticeship in Wittlich at the Jewish textile house Stutz and then worked in a collection office. From his apprenticeship onwards he was possibly a member of the KPD (German Communist Party). Although not a Zionist, he and his brother Ludwig are said to have regularly smuggled foreign currency from Germany to France to support Jews in Palestine. Gerhard Klammer was a German geologist who informed authorities that Adolf Eichmann was hiding in Argentina, which led to his capture by Mossad. Klammer and Eichmann, under the alias 'Ricardo Klement', both worked for CAPRI Construction in Tucumán Province. Klammer recognized 'Klement' as Eichmann, and, when he returned to Germany, attempted to report him, but German authorities did not take action. __NOTOC__ Tuviah Friedman (23 January 1922 – 13 January 2011) was a Nazi hunter and director of the Institute for the Documentation of Nazism, Nazi War Crimes in Haifa, Israel. Friedman was born in Radom, Poland, in 1922. During World War II he was imprisoned in a Nazi concentration camp near Radom, from which he escaped in 1944. The following year he was appointed an interrogation officer in the Gdańsk jail. Fritz Bauer (16 July 1903 – 1 July 1968) was a German Jewish judge and prosecutor. He was instrumental in the post-war capture of former Holocaust planner Adolf Eichmann and played an essential role in beginning the Frankfurt Auschwitz trials.
