Alberto Losa
Alberto Losa (born 1917) was a Swiss football (soccer), footballer who played in the late 1930s, 1940s and early 1950s. He played as Midfielder (football), midfielder. Losa first played at least two seasons for FC Nordstern Basel, Nordstern Basel. He then moved for the first time to FC Locarno, Locarno. Losa joined FC Basel, Basel's first team in their 1940–41 FC Basel season, 1940–41 season. He made his debut for his new club in the Swiss Cup on 21 December 1941 in a home game at the Landhof that Basel won 3–0 against BSC Young Boys, Young Boys. He played his domestic league debut for the club in the home game at the Landhof on 18 January 1942 against FC Schaffhausen, Schaffhausen. He scored his first goal for his club in the same game, in fact he scored twice as Basel won 11–0. His teammate Erhard Grieder scored five times in that game. Brad De Losa (born 1979) is an Australian fitter who is a champion at forestry sports such as wood-chopping and sawing. In 2015, he set a new world record, cutting through four tree trunks in less than 58 seconds. In May 2017 Brad De Losa managed to win the Stihl Timbersports Champions Trophy for a third year in a row. Ilse Losa
Ilse Losa (1913—2006) was a Portuguese writer and translator, of German-Jewish origin. Early life Ilse Lieblich Losa was born on 20 March 1913 in the village of Buer, in Melle, in the district of Osnabrück in Germany. She was the daughter of Artur Lieblich and Hedwig Hirsch Lieblich, both German Jews. She was initially raised and educated by her paternal grandparents. After rejoining her parents and her two younger brothers, Ernest and Fritz, she attended the Osnabrück and Hildesheim high schools and, later, the Hanover Business Institute. After the premature death of her father, victim of cancer, in the late 1920s, the family began to suffer severe financial difficulties. To help out, she went to England in 1930 for a year, where she worked as an au pair. Isabella Losa
Isabella Losa, also known as Isabella Losa of Cordova or Losa de Cordova (1491-1564) was a doctor of theology and nun. Isabella Losa was known for her knowledge of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew. She received the degree of Doctor of Divinity from the University of Cordova. After the death of her husband in 1539, she became a Clarissan abbess and moved to Vercelli in Piedmont in 1553, where she founded an orphanage, Santa Maria di Loreto.
