Los Pynandi World Cup Stadium
Los Pynandi World Cup Stadium (Spanish: Estadio Mundialista Los Pynandi), also known as Arena Pynandi , is a beach soccer stadium in Luque, Gran Asunción, Paraguay. It is located on the grounds of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and was purpose-built to be the host venue of the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. Construction Paraguay's bid to host the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was all but confirmed as successful on 1 October 2018. The Paraguayan Football Association (APF) put the stadium's construction contract out to tender on 15 October which ultimately went to the consortium of Cima-Ritter. Engineer Dionisio Lovera was tasked with coordinating the works, whilst Rubén García is credited as the stadium's architect. The constructors subsequently broke ground on the designated greenfield host site, on land belonging to the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, in early January 2019, with the full works scheduled to last for seven months. 2023 Copa Libertadores De Fútbol Playa
The 2023 CONMEBOL Libertadores Fútbol Playa is the sixth edition of the Copa Libertadores de Fútbol Playa, an annual continental beach soccer club tournament contested primarily between the champions of the domestic leagues of South American nations who are members of CONMEBOL. The tournament will take place in Luque, Paraguay, at Los Pynandi World Cup Stadium, between 3 and 10 December 2023, and is organised by CONMEBOL in cooperation with the host association, the Paraguayan Football Association. 2022 South American Games
The XII South American Games (Spanish: ''XII Juegos Suramericanos Asunción 2022'') was a multi-sport event held between 1–15 October 2022 in Asunción, Paraguay. The Games were organized by the South American Sports Organization, the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, the government of the Republic of Paraguay and the local Secretaria Nacional de Deportes, National Secretary of Sports. Bidding process The city of Asunción, capital of Paraguay, announced its interest in hosting the 2022 South American Games. 2019 South American Under-20 Beach Soccer Championship
The 2019 CONMEBOL South American Under-20 Beach Soccer Championship was the second edition of the ''South American Under-20 Beach Soccer Championship'' (known natively in Spanish as the ''Sudamericano Sub-20 Futbol Playa''), an international youth beach soccer tournament for South American national teams of men under the age of 20. The championship was organised by CONMEBOL, the governing body for football in South America, in cooperation with the local organisers, the Paraguayan Football Association (APF). The event took place between 8 and 15 December in Luque, Gran Asuncion, Paraguay.
