Lorna Irungu
Lorna Irungu (October 1973, Nairobi – 22 March 2021, Nairobi) was a Kenyan TV presenter. Career Irungu was popularly known for her contribution in the popular 1990s TV game show ''Omo Pick-a-Box'', the ''Vijana Tugutuke'' voting campaign. She is fondly remembered as a woman who was always ready to use her talents to champion a cause. Lorna was also well known for her talents in hosting ''Club Kiboko show which aired'' for five years between 1994 and 1999, while also producing a magazine show titled ''Maisha'' and a youth talk show dubbed ''Niaje''. Nairobi ( ) is the capital and largest city of Kenya. The name is derived from the Maasai phrase ''Enkare Nairobi'', which translates to "place of cool waters", a reference to the Nairobi River which flows through the city. Edwin Macharia is a Kenyan businessman and corporate executive. He is a former global managing partner at Dalberg Advisors. He was elected to that role in November 2019. Background and education Macharia was born on 1 January 1979 in Nairobi, Kenya, to a father who was employed by Barclays Bank of Kenya and a mother who was a high school teacher. The family relocated many times on account of the father's job. As a result, he attending a number of primary schools, including Mugumo-ini Primary School in Thika, Homabay Primary School in Homabay, Highland Primary School in Kericho and finally Mount Kenya Academy in Nyeri. While at Homabay, the roof of their classroom was blown away by a thunderstorm, so the class met under a tree for a year.
