Lori Castillo
Lori Castillo (born 1961) is an American professional golfer from Hawaii. She is one of only three golfers to have won both U.S. Girls' Junior (1978) and U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links (1979 and 1980), and was the first female to hold two USGA titles at the same time, joining only Chick Evans, Bobby Jones and Jack Nicklaus. She won the 1984 Wirral Caldy Classic on the Ladies European Tour and won the Hawaii State Open a record five times. She competed as Lori Planos during her marriage to Gary Planos of Kapalua Resort. The Curtis Cup is the best known team trophy for women amateur golfers, awarded in the biennial Curtis Cup Match. It is co-organised by the United States Golf Association and The R&A and is contested by teams representing the United States and "Great Britain and Ireland". The same two teams originally contested the Ryder Cup, but unlike that competition, the Curtis Cup has not widened the Great Britain and Ireland team to include all Europeans (nor has the analogous event for amateur men, the Walker Cup). Junior World Golf Championships
The IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships are held in San Diego, California, United States each year, currently in July and conducted by the San Diego Junior Golf Association. They include tournaments for six age groups ranging from under-6 to 15–17 and for both boys and girls. Each age group plays at a separate course, ranging from a par-3 course for the youngest to Torrey Pines for the 15–17s, which is also the venue for the Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour and the site of the 2008 U.S. Open. The event was founded in 1968. The inaugural tournament numbered 475 entrants from 20 U.S. States and six other countries. The Open de France Dames is a women's professional golf tournament in France on the Ladies European Tour. It has been played annually since 1987, with four exceptions: 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1998. Since the 2011 edition, Lacoste has been the title sponsor of the event. Between 2012 and 2017 the tournament was held at Golf de Chantaco, near Saint-Jean-de-Luz in the Basque Country, which belongs to the Lacoste family. Ladies Asian Golf Tour
The Ladies Asian Golf Tour is a women's professional golf tour that was established as the Ladies Asia Golf Circuit in 1983 and known as the Kosaido Ladies Asia Golf Circuit 1987–2004 for sponsorship reasons. The tour was sanctioned by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation since its inception as an official Asian ladies' tour. By 2005 there were five established women's professional tours in the world, of which two were in Asia, namely the LPGA of Japan Tour and the LPGA of Korea Tour. 1984 Ladies European Tour
The 1984 Ladies European Tour was the fifth season of golf tournaments administered by the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) on behalf of the Women's Professional Golfers' Association (WPGA), which later became the Ladies European Tour (LET). In the second season of PGA administration, the tour saw the addition of several new tournaments with the format of most being changed to 72-holes stroke play, having been mostly 54 and 36-hole events previously. In total, there were 21 tournaments on the schedule, including the return of the Women's British Open, organised by the Ladies' Golf Union and one of two tournaments co-sanctioned by the LPGA Tour, along with the Ladies Irish Open. The Order of Merit was won by Dale Reid, who dominated the season with two tournament victories and five runner-up finishes.
