Loreta, Wisconsin
Loreto is an unincorporated community in the town of Bear Creek, Sauk County, Wisconsin, United States. The community center was once located on Highway G in Town 10N Range3E in Section 14 with a public school in Joint District 9, a cheese factory, tavern, store and post office. The village name is sometimes spelled "Loretto" or "Loreta." The school closed in 1962 and the businesses no longer exist. Remaining is the Catholic parish of St. Patrick's with a brick church and rectory and parish cemetery. It was named after Loreto, Italy in 1900 by Rev. Felix Andrew Byrne, the postmaster at Loreto and pastor of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Loreta (Prague)
Loreta is a pilgrimage destination in Hradčany, a district of Prague, Czech Republic. It consists of a cloister, the church of the Lord’s Birth, the ''Santa Casa'' and a clock tower with a famous chime. Construction started in 1626 and the Holy Hut was blessed on 25 March 1631. The architect was the Italian Giovanni Orsi, and the project was financed by Kateřina Benigna, a noblewoman of the Lobkowicz family. Fifty years later the place of pilgrimage was surrounded by cloisters, to which an upper storey was added after 1740 by Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer. The baroque facade was designed by the architects Christoph Dientzenhofer and Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer, and added at the beginning of the 18th century. The chapel is most known for its peal, heard since August 15, 1695. It was constructed during 1694 by watchmaker Peter Neumann from thirty smaller and larger bells. Loreta Hairapedian Tabrizi ( hy, Լորետա Հայրապետեան; Persian: لرتا هايراپتيان تبريزى) was an Iranian Armenian stage and film actress. Biography Loreta was born as Loreta Hairapedian Tabrizi in 1911 in Tehran. Following a succession of roles in performances of William Shakespeare directed by Vahram Arsen Papazian, she married the well-known stage director Abdolhossein Noushin and later joined the Iran Club of Theater. There, she appeared in grand scale performances of such plays as ''Othello'', ''Volpone'', ''The Blue Bird'' and ''Gas Light''. In 1933, she married Abdol Hossein Noushin. In 1953 Loreta traveled abroad together with her husband following the 1953 coup d'etát, and the couple lived in Moscow for several years, where they both entered education; Loreta entered the acting school of the Moscow State University (Moscow Art Theatre), while her husband studied for a PhD in philology at the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute.
