Lorenzo Tehau
Lorenzo Tehau is a footballer from Tahiti currently playing for A.S. Central Sport. He is the twin brother of Alvin Tehau, brother of Jonathan Tehau and cousin of Teaonui Tehau, all of them playing for Tahiti national football team. He represented his country in the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup and now is a full-time member of the Tahiti national football team. He was the top goalscorer for Tahiti in the 2012 OFC Nations Cup, where his national side won the tournament for the first time. Tahiti
Tahiti (; Tahitian ; ; previously also known as Otaheite) is the largest island of the Windward group of the Society Islands in French Polynesia. It is located in the central part of the Pacific Ocean and the nearest major landmass is Australia. Divided into two parts, ''Tahiti Nui'' (bigger, northwestern part) and ''Tahiti Iti'' (smaller, southeastern part), the island was formed from volcanic activity; it is high and mountainous with surrounding coral reefs. OFC Nations Cup
The OFC Nations Cup is an international association football tournament held among the OFC member nations. It was held every two years from 1996 to 2004; before 1996 there were two other tournaments held at irregular intervals, under the name Oceania Nations Cup. No competition was held in 2006, but in the 2008 edition, which also acted as a qualification tournament for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and for a play-off for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the New Zealand national football team emerged as winners. Historically, a very large gulf separated Australia and New Zealand from the smaller island competitors, and little attention was paid to the tournament by the rest of the football world. In fact, after the first eight editions the trophy had been won only by Australia and New Zealand. 2012 OFC Champions League Final
The 2012 OFC Champions League Final was the final of the 2011–12 OFC Champions League, the 11th season of the Oceania Cup, Oceania's premier club football tournament organized by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), and the 6th season under the current name of the OFC Champions League (also known as O-League). The final was played over two legs between Tefana from Tahiti and Auckland City from New Zealand, on 29 April and 12 May 2012. After winning the first leg 2–1, Auckland City also won the second leg 1–0 to complete a 3–1 aggregate win. As the OFC Champions League winners, they qualified for the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup as the OFC representative, entering the qualifying play-off round. The OFC Champions League, also known as the O-League, is the premier men's club soccer competition in Oceania. It is organised by the OFC, Oceania's football governing body.
