Pierre Lorange
Pierre Lorange is a former politician in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was a member of the Montreal city council from 1966 to 1986 and was a prominent figure in mayor Jean Drapeau's administration. Private career Lorange was a jeweller in private life. City councillor Lorange first became a member of the Montreal city council in 1966, when he was selected by other councillors to fill a vacant seat. He was re-elected in the 1966, 1970, 1974, 1978, and 1982 municipal elections and served as vice-chair of the Montreal executive committee (i.e., the municipal cabinet) during his later years on council. In 1985, he helped pass a motion that banned most artists from selling their wares on downtown Montreal streets. The following year, he went on a business trip to China that was paid for by CP Air, a branch of Canadian Pacific, which has large property holdings in Montreal. Peter Lorange
Peter Lorange (born 17 April 1943) is a Norwegian economist. He was the owner, President, and CEO of the Lorange Institute of Business Zürich, formerly known as GSBA Zurich, which he bought in July 2009. Peter Lorange has previously been President of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) from 1993''Auf die Spitze getrieben'', Die Weltwoche 45.04, page 40-44 and Rector of the BI Norwegian Business School. He has taught at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He recently founded the Lorange Network, a learning and sharing platform for family office principals and family business owners. Lorange received his undergraduate education from the Norwegian School of Economics in 1966, was awarded an MA degree in operations management from Yale University in 1967, and his Doctor of Business Administration degree from Harvard University (1972).
