Pierre Lorange
Pierre Lorange is a former politician in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was a member of the Montreal city council from 1966 to 1986 and was a prominent figure in mayor Jean Drapeau's administration. Private career Lorange was a jeweller in private life. City councillor Lorange first became a member of the Montreal city council in 1966, when he was selected by other councillors to fill a vacant seat. He was re-elected in the 1966, 1970, 1974, 1978, and 1982 municipal elections and served as vice-chair of the Montreal executive committee (i.e., the municipal cabinet) during his later years on council. In 1985, he helped pass a motion that banned most artists from selling their wares on downtown Montreal streets. The following year, he went on a business trip to China that was paid for by CP Air, a branch of Canadian Pacific, which has large property holdings in Montreal. Pierre Bourque (born 29 May 1942) is a businessman and politician in Quebec, Canada. He founded the Vision Montreal political party and served as mayor of Montreal from 1994 to 2001. Background An horticultural engineer, he was director of the Montreal Botanical Gardens from 1980 to 1994. Mayor of Montreal Bourque was the mayor of Montreal, Quebec from 1994 to 2001 (as the leader of the Vision Montreal party). Bourque proved eccentric and sometimes controversial as mayor. Jean Doré
Jean Doré (12 December 1944 – 15 June 2015) was a Canadian politician and mayor of the City of Montreal, Quebec. Background Doré studied law at the Université de Montréal, where he was president of the student union from 1967 to 1968. He received a Master's Degree of Political Science from McGill University. In the early seventies Doré became a founding member of the progressive '' Montreal Citizens' Movement (MCM)'', also known as ''Rassemblement des citoyens et citoyennes de Montréal'' (RCM) in French, where he started as treasurer and eventually became party leader in 1982. The Montreal Urban Community (MUC) (''Communauté Urbaine de Montréal'' – ''CUM'') was a regional government in Quebec, Canada, that covered all municipalities located on the Island of Montreal and the islands of L'Île-Dorval and Île Bizard from January 1970 (when it was created from the former Jacques-Cartier County) until the end of December 2001.
