"The Look" is a song by Swedish pop duo Roxette. It was released in early 1989 as the fourth single from their second studio album, '' Look Sharp!'' (1988). It became an international hit, and was one of the most successful singles of 1989. It topped the charts in 25 countries, and was the first of their four number ones on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. ''Look'' was a biweekly, general-interest magazine published in Des Moines, Iowa, from 1937 to 1971, with editorial offices in New York City. It had an emphasis on photographs and photojournalism in addition to human interest and lifestyle articles. Look is a French sports equipment manufacturing company based in Nevers that has led the innovation of alpine skiing quick-release binding systems. The company later moved into cycling with innovations in clipless pedals and carbon fiber frames. The Look logo was inspired by Piet Mondrian paintings. Look is a Danish brand of cigarettes, currently owned and manufactured by House of Prince, a subsidiary of British American Tobacco. History Look was introduced in 1966 by the Scandinavian Tobacco Group. ''Look'' is a 2007 American found footage film directed by Adam Rifkin. The film is composed entirely of material shot from the perspective of surveillance cameras. Though shot using CineAlta movie cameras, all were placed in locations where actual surveillance cameras were mounted. The scenes are staged and scripted. "Look" (also known as "I Ran" and "Untitled Song #1") is an instrumental composed by American musician Brian Wilson for the Beach Boys' never-finished album ''Smile''. Wilson later completed the track as "Song for Children", with new lyrics written by Van Dyke Parks, for the 2004 album ''Brian Wilson Presents Smile''. Background "Look" was one of the earliest pieces recorded during the ''Smile'' sessions. Musicologist Philip Lambert speculated that some parts of the music possibly evolved from one of the riffs in "Good Vibrations".
